At Omculture (formerly Yogalife), we are committed to your yogic practice- building community through the holistic approach of body, breath, and balance. When you are embodied you are focusing on what you are capable of and where you would like to grow. Breath brings you into presence and awareness of your mental and emotional state. Balance is your ability to create balance in your life on and off the mat, which is why we have committed to keeping yoga prices at $10 a class (with a 20 class pass) as well as providing a community around yogic practice including book clubs, kirtans, sound healings, a tea lounge, dance, and more. More than just a physical practice, yoga is a way of life. It is an ancient discipline that promotes healing, growth and transformation. The teachers at Omculture strive to share the yogic tradition with people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. We are not a hot yoga studio- we provide room temperature classes- including Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin Classes at our Greenlake location, as well as Soundbaths, Kirtans, and Salsa. We have a variety of dances and partner movement at our Wallingford location including Ecstatic, Tango, Mixed Partner Dancing, AcroYoga, and Aerial Silks. We also have morning play-gym for toddlers at our OmTots program, and Afterschool Circus Arts for school-aged children. Our Greenlake studio also provides sustainably produced yoga mats, props, local art, and books for purchase.

The staff and management go out of their way in such an ethical, warm-hearted manner.
They offer excellent variety of yoga , sometimes dance, meditation, special programs and aerial yoga. There is a variety of yoga styles which offer different levels and kinds so all can find a yoga to fit their needs.I know some staff who work/teach and some management and I am always impressed with their care and thought for good effects to their community.

Great spiritual practice with good instructors. Really enjoy the singing bowls, bells, gongs and chanting that is used in most practices, something I don't always experience at other studios. No pretentious vibes at all. Only wish there were more class offerings, as their morning schedule is pretty limited.

I go to Daniela's restorative class at 7 on Sundays. The studio advertised the wrong time which screwed me up. I am not a fan of management, but I love Daniela's class. I am not a great yogi, so I need a lot of help and she makes us beginners feel very comfortable as she puts us in the proper positions. For someone with a bad back, I cannot tell you how much better I feel after the class. This is a new class for me, but i am hopeful for the first time in a long time that I can get my back in better shape because of, in part, Daniela's class.
If you have pain and you want a strong yoga class, but aren't an expert, this is the best class I have ever found. Indeed, I have taken a lot of yoga classes as well as personal instruction and I think Daniela has a special healing quality about her. Can't recommend this class enough.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I really enjoy the many aspects of the Om Culture Greenlake and Wallingford because the teachers really think about how yoga supposed to be truly delivered to practitioners. It is also nice that this is not heated yoga, especially because I am from the view that hot yoga created by machines distracts from the practitioners awareness of tuning into the true body. There are also varieties of other events to choose from such as dances, sound healing, circus arts, etc.
The instructor Tami Hafzalla is amazing, and she really understands the Sanskrit and yoga sutras.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Frank S.Shoreline, WA113Mar 29, 2019
Friendly staff, awesome teachers, convenient class times, great kids programming, great variety of yoga styles, nice space, welcoming to everyone and way less pretentious crowd than at 8 Limbs. Best all around yoga studio in North Seattle! Big shout out Melissa's Thursday night class, it's like a Cosmotastic Soulgasm pushing you past the Outer Limits of the Relaxostrato Nirvanasphere!! Yeah!

I like the flow of Jodi's class, her choice of poses and sets, and her selected readings. I always feel like a better human after connecting to my practice in her sessions. :)

This is a great yoga studio. The front desk staff are wonderful and the teachers are some of the best in the city. Sarah's classes are a great practice for accepting yourself and making space to open the body and mind.

Summer 2014.
I lived just a few blocks away and loved walking here. All the staff and teachers were friendly. The selection of classes was decent. The studio size and available equipment were above par.
I miss this great little studio!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Susanne L.Seattle, WA03May 25, 2019
I was brand new to Seattle practicing at several places when I discovered this yoga studio in Greenlake. Om Culture is just perfect and delightful. Every teacher I have experienced offers clear and careful instruction. There are a variety of classes and in each one you are supported to move in ways best for your own benefit and well-being. I highly recommend Om Culture. Hope to see you there !
