LOVE Face Body Spa

As someone who has been to the majority of the spas in Cville, this is my new favorite.

Imani was awesome-- she's a very skilled massage therapist (she did an amazing job finding and working through all the spots that were causing me trouble). Her great energy made for an incredibly positive experience. I had a session with Jacob who was very skilled as well and super passionate about his job. Alani at reception is also a delight to interact with. LOVE FBS definitely has a new regular!

This place is definitely worth Every penny spent!!!

I visited Love Face & Body Spa (bought & rebranded & now in a new location) for the first time back in July of 2022 for a facial. I originally had booked the Advanced Renewal facial but my l esthetician Kayelyn actually said I didn't need that exact facial because my skin is still young as I'm not yet in my 30s. She instead recommended I do the YonKa dry skin facial which is actually cheaper than what I originally booked. I love that she picked what would be best for my skin without trying to upsell a more expensive facial. I'm not well versed in skin care so I really liked that Kayelyn walked me through everything she was doing and the reasons why. Most times you just lay there in silence and while I do like sometimes to just relax and fall asleep, I really appreciated the skin care education and was still able to relax as well. But I feel like I have a better idea of what my skin needs and how I can achieve it. The only reason I'm rating this 4.5/5 stars is because I normally like some lip care during my facials and this was lacking that.

I really liked the essential oil toner she used and ended up purchasing it afterwards. The scent is heavenly and made my skin feel great. I don't always purchase skin care products after my facials but I really liked the Yonka brand products she used on my face.

Also if you're looking to get eyelash extensions, permanent makeup, cold sculpting, and more, Hayley with Hidden Heart Beauty Co has partnered up with Love Face. I've been getting my lashes done by her for awhile now and you can't find anyone better. I moved away recently but still drive 1.5hrs to see her! I go between getting a full hybrid set ($200) which is a reasonable price, or fills which are $70. I also love that she didn't require a take off of the lashes I had left on. (Which normally costs like $20-30). Every other studio I have found in the area requires you to pay them for a lash removal of the lashes from other aesthetician. Because I travel to different cities for work 3 months at a time, this is a huge hassle, so I am very grateful Hayley doesn't require this!

I rarely leave negative reviews but my experience here was less then ideal, a true lack of professionalism. However I thought the massue I used was great. I warned her that I was pain tolerant and would bruise of too much pressure was applied (no easy feat but has happened if the therapist is strong enough). On my way out I felt pressured to rebook and with the therapist there I went ahead and did so. I did want to wait and see what I felt like the week following the massage. My back was covered in bruises. I had to travel out of the country for work and had limited cell phone reception but tried multiple times to call and cancel. I made a last ditch attempt the day before and was able to get their voicemail. They called me back the day of to say that I could reschedule and not be charged their cancellation fee since apparently they hadn't received my texts or emails attempting to cancel. I called to reschedule and was disconnected twice in the middle of finding a date to "move" my appt to. Admittedly I was hoping to call back later to cancel the newly rescheduled massage and see what other service I could book just to avoid being charged but also feeling so underwhelmed. They charged me the cancellation fee regardless of saying they wouldn't. Between the horrible service and communication I'm so disappointed, but there are other great spas in Charlottesville that provide excellent customer service and make your experience relaxing from start to finish!

My massage with Imani was absolutely first class. She is very talented and I am still feeling the benefits days later. Could not be more pleased with the session!

Kaitlyn is highly skilled. Products do what they say they do. I come out of a session relaxed and rejuvenated at the same time

I had an exceptional time with Joanna. This was my first massage at Love Face Body and it was lovely. Great customer service and hospitality. Joanna is really talented, kind, and provided a great experience. Everything was very clean and the space was perfectly relaxing.

My daughter and I had a fantastic experience for our massages. My deep tissue massage was one of the best ever. Joe was fabulous!

I had a really great experience at Love Face Body Spa. I was in town for just a couple of days and was able to book an appointment last-minute for Saturday afternoon. The online booking is so amazing, since it allowed me to book the night before and saved me the hassle of calling around a gazillion places to see if they had and same-day appointments available. And once I got there, I had a fabulous massage with Imani. She made me feel so comfortable, and my whole massage felt amazing. It honestly felt like it lasted forever, which was wonderful. I also really felt like I connected with her. She was so personable and friendly. Whenever I am back in Charlottesville, I will definitely book another massage with Imani.

This was by far the worst massage I have ever had. I almost told Kayelyn to stop during it because it was just that bad, but I was holding out hope that it would get better and it didn't. I also got a facial from her and I found it to be very unsatisfying because she spent the whole time berating me on how I am mistreating my skin.

I went to Love Face Body Spa for relaxation and did not leave that way. I was very unsatisfied and will not go back.
