Loosen Up Bodywork

I have been seeing Kyle for about month due to long term bursitis hip pain. He takes the time to explain to me what he is doing and the necessary steps it will take to alleviate the pain long term. I appreciate his knowledge and handiwork as I work through this process.

I've had 3 surgeries recently and was looking to get manual lymphatic draining and a friend recommended Loosen Up Bodywork in Danville. I had initially signed up for three sessions and after my first session with Megan Shockro, I immediately signed up for 5 more. I have had MLD done in two other clinics before and nothing compares to how fabulous Megan is, just one session made a world of a difference! I could already feel that my legs and arms weren't so heavy, and most stomach didn't fill so full.
The staff is always patient, friendly, welcoming, and consistently giving high quality, superior service. I cannot say enough about this establishment and their wonderful employees! This is now a part of my wellness routine and will continue with my MLD regularly at Loosen Up Bodywork. I highly recommend getting a treatment here!

Really fantastic no-frills massage. If you are having any pain at all I highly recommend coming, they will know how to relieve muscle tension and give you tips on how to keep you pain free! I am 7 months pregnant and have gotten 2 prenatal massages from different locations so far that were a) much more expensive and b) not as effective. So happy that I gave this place a try for my 3rd massage. I had Kyle as a massage therapist and highly recommend for prenatal. I'll be back in a few weeks!

My session was very good. I sought out and found Loosen UP Bodywork for some help/relief with some difficulties in recovering from a shoulder rotator cuff surgery that was 8-1/2 weeks ago.

Aimee, my Massage Therapist was very attentive to my situation and needs. Her work was very good, especially considering my needs were not routine. She was professional in all ways.

The entire office, massage room, and bathroom were all very nice, welcoming, and have a very clean and have a nice modern feel!
The front desk young lady was very pleasant and professional.

I have been getting sports oriented massage therapy for over 3 decades and I can say that I highly recommend Loosen Up Bodywork.

I have been working with Aimee and Savannah regularly for the past few months to alleviate shoulder and neck pain from work. I see Savannah for Fascia work and Aimee for massage and MLD. I have seen a big difference in my body since working with them. They are intuitive and attentive. They have also been able to alleviate other areas of concern that I did not know where being affected by past surgeries.
Scheduling is easy and the front desk staff is always kind and receptive.

It takes a lot for me to want to post a 5 star review, and I don't recall ever doing one for massage therapy businesses- few really stand out in my experience- though there are great therapists I've run into, I haven't run into many great businesses.

Gina, the owner, takes great personal interest in her clients and seems to get to know everyone (I know despite her not even being my therapist).
Loosen Up has a great team- all very professional, they are real experts who customize every session based on your problems. Ive been to Michael and Rachel and they are both outstanding.

The staff is all very friendly and accommodating as well. As a busy professional this is incredibly important to me.

If you need real therapeutic body work or have any kind of pain, this is the place to go. It's no frills (which I don't need) but the rooms are clean, quiet and very comfortable and the therapists are amazing.
With other places, they are either way too aggressive and it makes me worse or else I feel like I pay a premium to have somebody slather lotion on me and I get no relief.
I have tried multiple therapists at Loosen Up and they have all been competent and helped me get pain relief. This is so rare! I have chronic back, neck and head pain and Loosen Up has been a big reason that I keep sane. They are able to do specific work that gives me relief, but also be able to find the balance of not making me more inflamed. I have moved away from the area, but am happy to drive an hour each way every week because thats how unique and helpful this place is. I've yet to find a place even comparable in the peninsula.

Loosen Up Bodywork is my go to place for treatment and bodywork. I exert a lot of abuse on my body through weight training, climbing, and combat sports, and coming here keeps me up and moving. The entire staff is incredibly well trained and knowledgeable. Whatever aches or pains I'm experiencing, we break it down together, they help me understand it, and of course dig in work it out. I love that they opened another location because their schedules get full quickly. Highly recommend!!

I have been seeing Gina in the Walnut Creek location, but had the opportunity to have a massage in the Danville location today. The building is conveniently located and parking is easy. The space is very cozy and comfortable. Gina is so knowledgeable about the body and I always leave feeling so much better!

I got a deep tissue massage from Trang less than a week ago and I waited til the tender phase to settle down to write this review. I can honestly say she gave me a great massage that has helped lessen my aches. I've been suffering from chronic pain in my neck, shoulders, and back from routinely being in a hunched position for my esthetician job and I was finally able to feel relief after my time with Trang. I've been looking for a good masseuse for a while now and I am so glad I found her! Thank you Trang!
