Hiring Liz Fanlo and her team was by far one of the best decisions I made in planning our daughter's wedding in August 2018. Liz blew everyone out of the water with her extraordinary talents. It would have been literally impossible for anyone to have done a better or more professional job on our daughter's large scale wedding. Liz is brilliant at looking at each individual client and making sure they will look their very best, but in a natural real way.
Liz goes way way beyond the extra mile for her clients because she truly cares about each of them. On her own time with no added charge, Liz went to the bridal shop to learn how to bustle my daughter's wedding gown. What person would do this? Only Liz. Do not just think of Liz for weddings, but use her for every occasion of your life. A woman's looks greatly matter her entire life. Any woman at any age can be attractive if she tries. That is all you need to be, attractive. Liz will tailor make the perfect skin and beauty program that best compliments you. Liz is a true professional. She is fun, timely, organized, and the BEST at what she does!! I didn't have a " make up/hair trial" as I was traveling from out of town. Liz requested pictures of what I liked and hated for styles. She even had them printed out when I got there and even skyped me long distance to be sure she seen my hair!! Talk about going above and beyond! Then, she mentioned she offers hair extensions and even my groom loved my hair!!! Talk about a makeover in a natural, amazing way. I truly felt the prettiest, sexiest, and most confident I ever have on my wedding day all thanks to Liz.

Also, she gave us tips on hotels to pick near city hall too, as well as an app to obtain a taxi when i traveled!! Jack of all trades, you will not be disappointed. This is my first yelp review, and I'm so happy to say I had the best experience ever for my wedding day much due to Liz's kindness and expertise.

I feel so lucky to have had Liz do my makeup & hair for my wedding two weeks ago. She was beyond amazing - everything from the trial to the day of was organized, calm and expertly done. I was so confident in her skills - she has a talent in making sure you look like yourself, not an overly-made up stranger, when you look in the mirror you will be so happy. Her airbrushing & makeup also lasted all night, which I could not believe - and even my curls were there the next morning. If you want to work with someone who will bring calm, confidence and fun to your event book Liz - you won't be disappointed!

I had an amazing experience with Liz Fanlo last week. I have a big event coming up that I need a professionals up-do and makeup for...there will be a photo shoot 'n such. I decided I would try her talents for a fun but not as important evening out first. I had heard wonderful comments about her, but my big event needs to be right on, so I had to make sure for myself.

Picture Perfect!

To start ... I arrived at her home studio. Amazing space! Beautiful and polished but so comfortable. None of that odd, why am I in someone's home feel. Her studio is in an area with fantastic lighting, comfortable seating and the bay view does not hurt either! Beverages were offered.

Next she had pictures to look at of hair designs or you can bring your own. I wanted to try the up-do with lots of looping curls tucked in the back. She was gentle but made sure my hair was secure. She was great to talk with too. Was like being with an old friend and catching up. I felt super comfortable. The hair design lasted all night... I didn't want to take it down! I have naturally frizzy curly hair. Liz had first smoothed and straightened it before doing the up do curl magic. Bonus~ When I took the pins out, my hair had gentle curls. The next day my hair was perfect - again! Long, smooth soft tresses with a bit of body... like Kardashian hair! (You might not be their fans... but you must admit, the hair is awesome!) I couldn't help my self...I kept it that way for another few days!

Next came the make-up application. I let her choose all shades and any color she thought would look best. Wow... Her airbrush technique had my 47 year old skin looking flawless and also what is so important to me, feeling light. Definitely not a heavy base feel. My dark circles disappeared too. My eyes just popped! Looking bright and beautiful... lashes ready to bat! The make up held thru the entire evening. I know its not a good idea to sleep with full makeup on, but I wanted to see how it would look in the morning... got to tell you, pretty darn good. A little wipe here, dab there, and I was absolutely public ready!

So the answer is YES, in case you are wondering...I have booked my big events make up and hair appointment with Liz! I will try and remember to post pictures after too! Everything I heard about her professionalism and expertise was spot on.

I can't recommend Liz highly enough for any of the services she offers. The professionalism and compassion that she brings to helping to achieve your goal was a dream to experience. She has helped me with short and long term solutions for my thinning hair. She inspires me to see the best in myself while giving tips on skincare, hair and makeup. I look forward to continuing to work with Liz as I prepare for my wedding and afterwards. She is a wealth of knowledge and I highly recommend her to help ease the stress of your big day or any event you are preparing for. Thank you Liz!

I am an older woman and my hair is gray. Liz is fabulous and when she works her magic on me the compliments roll in! She is truly gifted!

Liz is great! I had her do a bridal make-up trial the other day and can't say enough good things about her skills and the finished results!
She took her time and I let her do her thing. Didn't offer any input as I have no clue what to do for bridal make-up.
I normally wear make-up but I typically use eyeliner very sparingly. I hardly ever use it on the lower part of my eye. I also tend to use browns/earth tones for eyeshadow.
Liz took over, as I said, and I didn't watch as she applied the make-up. It felt like she was putting a lot more make-up on than I normally do and I was a bit nervous to see myself when she was done.
It felt like I was on one of those makeover shows on TV when she turned the chair around to show me the look. The way she did my eyes made them look amazing. They definitely seemed more showcased and became a focal point on my face. She used a lighter white shimmery shade and a dark almost charcoal grey shadow to create a smoky look on the outer eyelid.
She used airbrush foundation which created a flawless finish and the blush was perfect. I think she also used a highlighting cream that looked great in pictures.
I had a party that evening and people couldn't stop commenting at how great I looked. All of the pictures look amazing so I can only imagine wedding photos would come out the same.

Liz was very easy to work with and did everything I asked. The trial was easy and I never felt pressured to do anything I didn't like. If I didn't like something, she changed it until we found the perfect look for my wedding. We were done on time and received tons of compliments. I will always recommend her when asked!

8:00 am and I find out I have to get a head shot for my work later that afternoon. My only opening for hair and make-up is noon-1:30 and I am concerned. I call Liz (located through Yelp search), she fits me in, I arrive at her lovely studio with Bay view, and I know I'm in good hands. My hair and make-up looked polished and professional. My photo shoot was great, 75% because of Liz's good work and 25% because her good work gave me a confidence that the camera picked up.

Liz is amazing! She did my hair and makeup, as well as, my two sisters that were my bridesmaids. She did a great job enhancing our looks for the photos, yet keeping us looking natural and more like ourselves. The photos turned out great thanks to Liz. Liz not only is very talented in her art / craft of helping woman achieve their beauty goals for their special occasions, she is a joy to work with. She has very good and calming energy that kept all of us very peaceful the day of my wedding, which is hard to accomplish as a bride. Liz is very warm and down to earth. I am going to miss working with her now that my wedding has come and gone. I look forward to working with Liz again when a special occasion should arise that would welcome her magic beauty touch.
