3 stars for the pedi. It was amazing. I had to deduct 1 star because the person who did my eyebrows did a horrible job. I also deducted a star because there is a random 10% fee added to your service but there is no explanation of why. There is a sign near the check in desk, but why?

The quality of their work is horrible. I had my nails done there on Monday evening. My nail beds are still sore. The gel polish is chipping and the nails are not evenly painted. There is paint on my cuticles. All of my nails are misshaped and crooked. Just a mess.

I am the type of person who believes in giving second chances and unfortunately this time around, it cost me. My experience at this shop was not a good one. I selected my tech because I previously had a great experience with her. This time was completely different. The work was rushed and extremely sloppy. I got gel polish on my toes and it was lumpy and a complete mess. I got a full set without gel polish, something I've done many times. I noticed the polish on one of my nails was peeling and pointed it out to the tech. She tried to brush past the mistake and quickly asked if I was paying with the same card on file. I had to mention the peeling nail to her again for her to "fix it." Without the gel, I know I have to dry my nails for a while. I dried my nails for 45+ minutes and as so I got out of the chair, every single nail messed up. I had somewhere else to go after the appointment so I used their chat feature to express my dissatisfaction further. I was able to get another appointment to fix my nails. The fix was done by a different tech and it is still sloppy. At this point, I'm over the entire experience. I wish I could get my money back to go somewhere else but I'll just take it as a lesson learned. Some places don't deserve second chances.
They get one star for the ease of scheduling the appointment to fix my issues through chat. Actually, one of the things I did like about the shop is how easy it is to schedule and use their website.

Jan 1, 2021Previous reviewI decided to check out this place because the website says it's black owned and I like to support black business. I've been to this spot 3 times. The first two times, I didn't have any issues. The place was clean, I was greeted immediately upon entry, and I was seated right away. My pedicure was nice both times I got them and I loved my nails the first two times (done by Maria-she was excellent and helped me choose the best style and design for my full set). The last time I made an appointment online, I got a call the day before my appointment and was informed Maria was not available. I decided to keep my appointment with another lady and ended up regretting it. During my gel manicure, my cuticle/finger was cut and was sore and swollen for two weeks following the appointment. This picture is the aftermath. On top of that, my gel manicure didn't even last, which is the whole point of a gel manicure, right? I thought I had finally found a go-to spot after a long search, but I will not go back. They also charge hidden fees and the price is never what is quoted on their website when the appointment is booked.

The technician was RUDE. She talked on the phone or watched tv the entire time. She used dirty implements on me and I got a nail fungus which I've never had because I take great care of myself.
I do not recommend this place at all. It lacks customer service. Have been looking for a black owned business and found Lillian's via a Twitter search. As a millennial, I am most impressed with their social media presence and online booking system. I was able to view examples of their work, view prices, and schedule everything online. They sent me a confirmation text and email and I knew exactly what I would owe during my visit. It means a lot to know prices before hand when looking for a service.
When I arrived I was greeted by a receptionist that confirmed my appointment. I scheduled a soak off and Bria did my nails. The technician was cautious during my take off and was able to save all off of my natural nails. Bria did a pink and white acrylic overlay on my natural nail. That was my first time getting colored acrylic and I'm very impressed. Bria slayed my shape and kept me laughing during my appointment.

Took a dear friend there and she loved the attention and friendliness of staff. Clean and welcoming atmosphere, ok professional and courteous staff made her want to book future appointments.

Made an appt for 10 am, arrived early to find that another 2 women were waiting to be seen (one as a walk in and another with an appt.) NONE of the technicians were here.
If we as customers make an appointment and are on time, the staff should be here 15 min earlier than the opening time (10 am). The customers should not have to wait and IF we do then we should be notified. I waited for 15 minutes for somebody to show up, nobody ever did. It's highly unprofessional and management should work with their staff on it.
Sad because the reviews were decent. Will not be returning.
Update. After the store manager reached out in hopes to fix the issue. I stated that the pedicure was good, however she needed to fix the issue. Below is the response of her asking me to remove the review. I would like to add, the pedicures that customers pay for are meant to be relaxing, enjoyable and up to satisfaction for the customer. It seems you misunderstood my question. I was not asking you to delete your review.
Your review was left prior to you being serviced and leads readers to believe that you left the salon without receiving services and with no intent of returning. Thankfully, this was not the case. Shortly after leaving your review, you were serviced and you sent me a kind email afterwards in response to the reply I left on Yelp. My question, in response to your email, was merely to ask if you were pleased with your pedicure and if so, was it good enough to give us another try. If you recall, I had also mentioned you giving us another try in my initial response to you under your review. So when I mentioned you possibly deleting or updating your review, I was referring to you doing so after your second visit. Its unfortunate and I regret that you misunderstood my intent of the question. I was merely suggesting the possibility of you having a better and timely experience on your next visit.
