The seasoned instructors like Ronny, Jeremy, Fabia break down the class with structure technique and they notice during class if the students are having a hard time they break it down even in smaller steps which is very important and they rotate with students and provide individual feedback. I was excited to take dominican bachata with instructor danielle/ dani but very disappointed that her class structure was very disorganized, the students were also all over the place so fast paced eventhough it was categorized as A . Her styling class was categorized as B and her class content felt like pre-styling and very very basic. Abraham's class class has a different approach to teaching, it almost felt like drilling for performance and whomever doesn't capture the technique taught stays behind- especially leads I also felt like 90% of the leads in bachata B and salsa B were not ready for B because they didn't have basic principles which are core basics of timing, pace musicality, rhythm, being in sync with your follow, protecting your follow on the dance floor, sending correct cues in body language, hand prep was not there . For me as a follow these traits are very important for me to be led correctly. Being a dedicated, committed dancer, if I commit my time to improve my skills, I expect to be in level B students whom are also at that level in order to be led correctlyAzalea M.
