Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massages involve sustained pressure to the muscle and connective tissue to help relieve severe tension. Deep tissue massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity (such as athletes), and patients who have sustained physical injury. It is not uncommon for receivers of deep tissue massage to have their pain replaced with a new muscle ache for a day or two.

Rehabilitative

Rehabilitative massage is designed to support healing of injuries and restoring full range of motion. Active Release, Myofascial Release, and Neuromuscular Therapy are examples of rehabilitative massage techniques that locate the source of spasms and tension. The therapist focuses on these muscles to restore them to their natural state.

Shiatsu

$75.00

Shiatsu or “finger pressure” massage is a Japanese form of physiotherapy. Our therapist combines acupressure (pressure points) as well as other methods such as stretching, breathing and rotating for a more whole-body approach to restoring energy balance.

Sports Massage

Sports massage works on the connective tissue and deep muscle structures. The massage is applied using hard and deep strokes, combined with finger pressure. Sports massage is specifically designed to increase flexibility and prevent injuries. It is specifically designed for the types of injuries obtained during athletic activity.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage increases blood circulation to more than 4 times its normal rate. The massage releases the stagnant toxins stored in the muscle fibers. The result is fresh oxygenated blood flow into the muscles, that boosts energy levels.

Chiropractic Adjustment

Established patients are able to book their Chiropractic adjustments online. If you are not currently a patient of ours, please book an initial consultation/examination before booking this service. The initial evaluation will also include an adjustment.

Chiropractic Manual (Massage) Therapy (Established Patients Only)

Booking this service means that you are an established patient of ours already. The manual therapy session includes a combination of joint mobilizations, stretching and muscle manipulation. In order to get the most out of each session, please bring a tank top (men), sports bra (women) and shorts.

Chiropractic Treatment (Established Patients Only) - Therapy with Dr. Tavenner only

This service should be booked by those patients who are under a current treatment plan with Dr. Tavenner. If you are an established patient, but have a new problem please book the Re-Examination.
