Our Story
What does a Buffalo, New York native do when she finds herself transplanted in sunny Southern California? If you’re Amy, you decide to open your own physical therapy and Pilates studio. Feeling a bit cut off from the community vibe that she loved in Buffalo, Amy saw the studio as a way to connect with her new home in Laguna Niguel – and the people with whom she shared it. Amy took the next vacancy sign she saw outside a Laguna Niguel store as fate – Pure Pilates opened in 2005.

Two is better than one
After opening Pure Pilates in Laguna Niguel, Amy worked to make sure it offered her clients the best Pilates experience in the area. Her efforts worked, and she opened a new location in Ladera Ranch. Amy hired Heather as an instructor for both locations, and that was fate. Their complementary personalities sparked a great friendship and an effective partnership. With Amy’s background in physical therapy and Heather’s real-life Pilates rehabilitation story, they had the combined experience to offer their clients the ultimate Pilates experience.
