Class Descriptions

Despite our name, not all classes are hot! Low & slow, low-heat vinyasa, and warm yin are a great fit for those who do not prefer the heat.

Hot Vinyasa

A flow class done in a heated room to aid in the release of toxins and accelerate blood flow. We will flow through postures linking breath to movement. Anyone who does regular yoga will enjoy the added challenge of this class. Room Temp: 100-110

Warm Slow Flow

An all-levels Vinyasa class with temps in the low 90s allowing you to build heat gradually from within!

Warm Vin-Yin

A practice blending traditional vinyasa flow with restorative yin yoga! The first majority of the class will be a detoxifying, centering vinyasa flow, and finish off with holding restorative, deep stretching postures on your mat. Get deep into relaxation and rejuvenate the deep muscles. Room Temp: high 80s-90s

Warm Yin

60 minute practice designed to compliment and balance your active (yang) lifestyle. Through a series of static postures, each held 3-5 minutes on the mat, we deeply target the connective tissues to restore mobility of the joint spaces. This practice also helps to bring stillness to the mind as we use these held poses to enter a peaceful state. Room Temp: high 80s-90s

Hot Yoga Sculpt

Boost metabolism and build lean muscle mass as you move through a vinyasa yoga class with weights (optional) and other props. You’ll combine free weights with cardio to intensify each yoga pose while mixing in strength-training moves like squats, lunges and bicep curls. Strength built will allow for longer holds in the more traditional yoga class.

*We do have weights available, but you are welcome to bring your own. We suggest 3lb. or 5 lb., with the option to increase to 8lb. or 10lb. if you need more. We do have weights available.

*Note that weights are not a requirement, and you will still get a lot of body-weight strength training without. Room Temp: 100-110

“Broga” Men’s Yoga

Introductory class focuses on deep stretching and mind-body connection. This fun, relaxing, educational 60-minute class is for men of all levels working on developing more flexibility, relieving back pain, de-stressing and work and sports injury prevention. Room Temp: high 80s-90s

Barre

Dance, yoga and Pilates inspired moves and taught with the use of ballet bars for supported balance. This class focuses on small movements incorporating cardio, strength, stretching and muscle endurance. With a high number of repetitions, low impact and high intensity movements; this class will strengthen your body with the use of props like light weights, small exercise balls and resistance bands. Room Temp 80s-90s

Pilates

A form of low impact, slow, controlled movements that aim to strengthen muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. These classes target the core, but also works other parts of the body. Room Temp 80s-90s

Soul Flow Yoga

Soul Flow Yoga is a holistic approach to wellness, emphasizing the mind, body and spirit connection. Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to class? Are extra mats available to borrow?

  • We highly recommend bringing a water bottle. We have a fresh water jug available if you run out and need to re-fill at the studio, as hydration is key in hot yoga. And yes, we do have extra mats to borrow- but if you have your own, we encourage bringing that. Also, it's likely you will get sweaty especially in a hot class, so if you have a sweat/mat towel you can bring that.

If I am new to yoga, what classes do you recommend?

  • If you have never tried yoga nor hot yoga and want to ease into that, we suggest starting with a Low&Slow class, or one of the Low-Heat Vinyasa classes. However, all of our classes are open to all levels, and instructors are great with offering modifications and demonstrating poses. Just tell your instructor before class if you are new so they can keep that in mind. We encourage the new student week/month specials to really get the chance to try all styles and instructors and find your niche!

What is the difference between Vinyasa and Hot Hatha classes?

  • Vinyasa essentially means linking breath to movement through a "flow" sequence. Throughout class you are constantly transitioning between postures with your breath and completing a chatturanga, upward dog, to downward dog sequence between. Our Hot Hatha class is structured similar to Bikram-yoga classes. You will complete 26 poses, each two times with a specific number of breaths holding each posture. You start with a standing series, and end with seated postures.

What about Yoga Sculpt?

  • If you are totally new to hot yoga, this is probably not the best class to start with, as it incorporates weights (3-8 lbs) and cardio throughout the practice (weights are optional and you need to bring your own). We suggest drinking a lot of water throughout the day before and after. However, you will notice significant changes in your endurance and strength after attending a few classes consistently! This is a great class for athletes, or those looking for even more of a workout in their practice.

What temperature is the room?

  • This is a real deal hot yoga studio. For hot classes, the temperature is about 102-105 degrees. In our low-heat classes, the temp is in the 90s.

I have an injury, will I be okay to practice?

  • Yoga is often a great form of physical (and mental) therapy. However, listen to your body and please tell your instructor if you have an injury or anything that may affect your practice, so they can offer appropriate modifications.

Do I need to register for a class before attending?

  • We highly encourage pre-registration, but it is not required.

What age is appropriate to start practicing inside the studio?

  • For health and safety reasons, we have a minimum age of 12 for students practicing in the studio.

Is there childcare? Can I let my child sit in the lobby during class?

  • We are a small space and don’t have enough room for childcare. We love children, but please make other arrangements for children during your time here on the mat. We want it to be a peaceful environment for instructors to focus on the students’ needs and students to let go of all worries and focus on themselves and their time on the mat.
