• I have been a fan of JOM since 2016. This studio offers a wide variety of dance styles that are not easily found whee I live (Alexandria, VA). I travel roughly 60 miles roundtrip each day 4X per week so that my girls can participate in the conservatory dance program "Youth Dance Ensemble." The teachers respect us, have gotten to know us, and are using diligence and care to teach my girls the very best they know in technique, choreography, and movement. Because we spend so much time at the studio, I've gotten to know a lot of other dance styles. This year, my heart was truly touched to see a group of differently abled men and women converging in the most JOYFUL style of dance. The group, "Devenia" is taught by the most caring teachers who limit the movements, but expand their enthusiasm. It is a contagious class of happiness and pure excitement. JOM does not just preach that "dance is for everyone," they absolutely prove it day in and day out. The negative Yelp reviews are a bust. Talk to the current clients of JOM and you'll get a different perspective on why this place is so special.
