I got a haircut with straight bangs and layers, and Nikki did an impeccable job! I've been to two different hair salons in WA, but I felt like Nikki was the best I've had so far. Before coming to my appointment, I checked out her profile on IG (aesthetic_by_nikki) and her clients looked amazing!

She was very friendly, and it was lovely chatting with her. Since it's been a while since I've done straight bangs, I asked for tips on bangs maintenance, and they were super helpful! I was really impressed with her work, especially with the layers. I've been to hair salons in Korea whose hairstylists are on another level, and Nikki was similar to them in her precision and accuracy for capturing the hair inspo pic I showed her! I highly recommend Nikki's services and will be back for more :)

The salon was nice inside with free covered parking garage next to the salon! Also, the front desk staff member (Shaniece, sorry if I misheard your name incorrectly!) was very sweet and offered beverages beforehand.

All in all, I recommend this salon, especially Nikki!

I don't really write reviews but this was probably the worst haircut I've ever gotten. I booked with a Christian. She barely said a word to me the entire time. When I said I wanted a trim and curl style for an event tomorrow, she acted as if I was asking a lot for it to hold tomorrow and acted surprised that I did not know how well my hair held a curl and she couldn't guarantee how it would look tomorrow. She sped through the entire process because "she only had an hour" and I was charged $100+ for a 50 minute service that I feel like I could have done myself. I never get my hair done but this felt like an extreme disappointment. Will not be returning.

I normally try to refrain from writing bad reviews unless it's real bad. Service was great, staff was friendly but my haircut was prettyyyy bad that Im getting another haircut with a different salon just a week after getting this one.

I got a fairly simple cut, some curtain bangs and layers. I didn't notice it when they styled it but god it looked awful when I blow dried my hair after showering. The length on my right and left side are uneven, my bangs are also uneven. They look terrible even after I styled it with the air wrap.

I was going to wait to grow it out but it's so bad I booked another haircut somewhere else next week. I expected better given the reviews on Yelp and Google.

Got my hair colored by Nikki. She's great! My hair was box dyed black and she transformed it into a masterpiece. She completed nailed what I asked for; which was orange with lots of dimension and something that can grow out nicely from the roots. Pricing was very fair and they even had a selection of shampoos for my hair color that have helped throughout the fading. I'm about two and a half months from when I got this color and it's still bright.

I had a cut and color at this salon as it is usually great. However, the most recent time I went in I told them first thing that I was pregnant. After my color was washed out I asked what shampoo my stylist had used. She showed me a bottle clearly marked CBD, which pregnant women are supposed to stay away from. I spoke with the manager who checked with the manufacturer to make sure it was safe for pregnancy. Otherwise they did nothing to make it right despite the panic I experienced after this. Also, if a service is going to use something on a pregnant woman that contains CBD, they really should inform the pregnant woman before the service is performed and give an alternate option. I'm really disappointed and do not plan to come back.

I've been wanting to give the curtain bang trend a try, but was uncertain about the upkeep and how my stubborn Asian hair would comply. Erin took the time to help me decide on a good relatively low maintenance option, and also showed me how to style it at home. I honestly think this is the first time I've ever loved my hair coming right out of the salon! Thanks Erin!

The salon itself is very nicely decorated and features a large assortment of high-end hair products. The location is a little tucked away, but parking is free in the small parking garage.

My cut (with wash, no color) came out to be much pricier compared to what was listed on the website, but I'm assuming that's because of COVID? I was happy with the results, regardless.

My good friend highly recommended Avian and now she is the only person I will let cut my hair! My hair has been cut into longer layers by her and to recently a short modern bob that I love. She knows exactly what she is doing and what your hair needs. She is incredibly kind and understanding. I cannot recommend her enough!

This is a much overdue review for Joe Bae Salon. I've been coming here since I moved to Bellevue back in the summer of 2019 and plan to continue going here for as long as I live in the PNW!!! I absolutely adore and swear by this salon and all of the employees. Joe has built a fantastic team and it's very apparent how much they care about and take pride in all they do.

I've been to a lot of hair salons and felt that they sometimes try to push additional services or products...not here. They've always been very down to earth, honest, and genuine about what they provide and are appreciative of their clients, regardless of what they come in for. I especially appreciate that they are honest and realistic about the services they provide - when I wanted to lighten my hair, Alaysa was so thorough about the process and told me exactly what to expect and what it would be to achieve the look I wanted. She didn't take on the task without telling me the stages of lightning my hair and exactly what I should expect as well as how much it would likely end up costing. I've been seeing both Alaysa and Nikki since I started coming here and I can't recommend them enough. Nikki has been awesome at squeezing me in and planning ahead for me when I tell her what my plans are. She's also been great at listening to what I want and being patient with me - both Alaysa and Nikki know how long it can take to deal with my hair and they've both been angels about it. Joe also will always go out of his way to say hi and check in with me when I'm there, no matter how busy he is. He remembers his clients and enjoys getting to know them!

And even though I mostly see Alaysa and Nikki, I've slowly gotten to know some of the other hairdressers and staff and can't say enough good things about the whole team. They really do make you feel welcome here. It doesn't matter if you walk in looking for a shampoo, a bang trim, a whole hair makeover, a consultation...I promise you will not be unhappy. Joe has built a great team that very clearly respects and appreciates him for all he does (I've noticed even as an outsider that he tries to celebrate their achievements, holidays, birthdays, etc and even though it doesn't affect me in any way, I feel it really speaks to the type of person he is and how he cares about his salon as a whole)

PS. Shay has a smile that could light up a whole room. It doesn't matter if you're having a bad day, you walk in the salon and she will have you feeling like the baddest woman (or man) in town

Went for a haircut today, and Danna did such a fantastic job. She carefully listened to my hair concerns and then shared her suggestions and plans with me. Danna is highly professional and knowledgeable. I had a wonderful and enjoyable experience!

I am new to the Bellevue area and found Joe Bae Salon online. I haven't had a haircut in about a year as I was trying to grow my hair out after a bad haircut. I was nervous to go in as I have very dry damaged hair from years of straightening. I was scheduled with Miranda and she was so sweet and listened to exactly what I wanted. She cut a few inches off (she didn't go overboard!) and gave me some beautiful soft layers. She finished the haircut with one of the best blowouts I have ever had. Thank you Miranda!! I will definitely be back to see her :)
