When we first moved from New Orleans to LO four years ago, one of the things I missed the most was my yoga community. I'd seen a few local yoga studios in my new town but was unsure where to begin. Then one day, my daughter and I were having lunch at Chuck's Place (now closed). Through the window, I spied Imagine Yoga studio, so we went to take a look. At that time they were offering a new student special that was in my budget so I signed up.
I'm so glad that I did! This place has become my new yoga home. I've participated in a retreat led by its owner, Kristina, which was a pivotal experience in my life. I've enjoyed several special events (Yoga in the Vineyard, Full Moon Circle) and had nothing but beautiful times with this lovely community.

The studio was recently renovated, right before COVID closures, and I love the new airy space. Because the studio hosts a variety of teachers, you can tailor your yoga needs to what your SELF is needing each time. I particularly love Kristina's Flow class and the Calm yoga Nidra.

During quarantine, I was relieved that they began offering online classes (still in effect) and now, not only can I do the classes from the comfort of my home, but the sessions are recorded and I have access to the class for the day... this is so helpful!

Imagine is a small, woman-owned business, operated respectfully, inclusively and holistically. I 100% recommend practicing yoga here.

Imagine Yoga studio has built a community in its little corner of Lake Oswego; it just wasn't the community I was looking for.

Yoga studios are pretty sparse in this area of town, and since I now work south of Portland proper and can't get downtown for class regularly at my preferred studio, I tried out the suburban offerings. I got a month-long unlimited new student pass for $40, which was nice. The studio has an okay variety of classes; due to my work schedule, I was only able to make it to the restorative and regular "flow" classes, so my experience was admittedly somewhat limited.

Still, I ended the month feeling pretty underwhelmed by my experience, and don't see myself returning. The restorative classes were largely good, with some exceptions - I had one very odd experience that involved lots of standing around and little actual yoga, and one class where the instructor opened the door on a cold, wet December evening and I had to wrap the class blanket around me to keep from shaking. The regular "flow" classes are very slow and seem better suited for yoga beginners. None of the instructors I practiced with offered hands-on adjustments - in fact, most of them just stayed on their mats while leading class.

The clientele skews older, which isn't surprising for this part of town. Folks seem to know one another, and the studio seems to have a nice little community going, but it wasn't a community I felt particularly drawn to or welcomed by. The studio space itself is nice, calm and clean; the free tea is a nice touch. The charge for mat use is not, although I overheard one instructor say it isn't really enforced.

Given the choice, I'd rather drag myself to NW for a studio experience where the instructors are more engaged with their practitioners and the classes challenge me better.

The studio is lovely, cozy, and clean. I've mainly taken Susana's classes which are magical experiences, embodying the essence of yoga. And the few subs I've had have been skilled knowledgable instructors. I highly recommend Imagine Yoga Studio!

I can't imagine a better place to go for yoga, at least for a beginner like me.To begin with the place is very clean and welcoming. Pardon the woo-woo but it has a good vibe. I initially signed up for the 2 week new student pass. I went to various classes and over the 2 weeks had 3 different instructors. While all the instructors have unique styles, there were consistencies that I appreciated -- they were knowledgeable, friendly, encouraging, and took the time to listen. Each one asked if there were specific issues I was concerned about and they seemed to structure the session with my issues in mind, even though there were other students. I'm sure they also had the other student's concerns in mind as well. I'm not sure how they do that. It must be magic or something.

After 2 weeks I signed up for the 3 month unlimited pass. If you go to 3 or 4 classes a week this is a great deal. The classes are scheduled so you can usually make a class on any day of the week if you want to. It might be difficult if you work a strict 8:00 to 5:00 schedule (the morning class MWF is 7:00 - 8:00, afternoon classes are at 5:00 or 5:30 with some later in the evening, so some flexibility with the work schedule is helpful).

I've been going there for a couple of months now and the benefits are outstanding. The teachers continually check in with my specific issues and help me work around my aches and pains. I see people who attend class consistently who are in way better shape than I am, and others that seem to struggle a bit more than I do, so my impression is that the classes are good for a wide range of abilities.

Fantastic! Krystal teaches the best power flow class I've taken. This studio is clean, actually smells good and not like stale sweat, and has a good feel to it. I used to belong to HYFL and before that Core Power but I took Imagine Yoga up on a special they were having and found myself in my new favorite spot,

Haven't been to any other classes by their other instructors but Krystal teaches a flow with a smooth constant pace. I'm not much of a yogi, I practice primarily for injury prevention and flexibility but I felt comfortable taking her class since she gave options if you didn't want to get into some of the more advanced things. She also throws in some really good ab workouts!

      See you guys soon!

Also... I've also seen a groupon or living social a while ago for this place so keep your eye out

Ragina is awesome. Just the right amount of challenge and going deep physically and mentally. I feel like I get a lot out of the hour.

The studio is nice but the owner is rude and condescending. I tried to cancel my membership and gave 30 days notice on 5/24/18. The owner informed me that they don't prorate payments so my "30 day" notice was in fact going to be more like a 45 day notice so they could charge me for an additional month and my membership would end on 7/5/18. Clearly not 30 days notice. Be careful if you sign up for a membership! Laura is rude and unhelpful and clearly just motivated by the money not by happy customers.

A wonderful place for Yoga. The environment is very clean and welcoming. Kristina is an amazing instructor - I attend her Calm class on Sundays and it's the perfect way to end your weekend by letting go of all your worries. I recommend this class to people who need to kick off their week with a peaceful mind and great techniques to use throughout the week! Thank you!

Came up from Albany just to take a class at this studio. Laura is as good as it gets an an instructor, i really love her classes and wish her the best at the new studio. i was taking her classes in Albany Oregon for over a year and was sad to see her move. Her Core class is great if you want to work on your Abs. i like her classes a lot because she is always keeping it fresh and interesting, no two classes are the same and she is always throwing something new at you. if you haven't checked out this place, you should, you wont be disappointed.
