Brittany is what everyone needs in their life. She made me feel so comfortable. I searched online for a year for someone who would handle my thick hair while helping me grow out my greys, and for a fair price. She listens, and follows through. I would follow her if she moved from this salon.

Zoe has been doing my copper hair and retouching my roots for months now and she has been amazing! She found the perfect shade of copper for me and had made me a custom color depositing conditioner to keep the vibrancy of my hair! If there's something she doesn't like in her work she is quick to fix it and is very helpful!

Lady- oh, Im just posting the texts now. Let you make yourself look dumb for lying ..she never wanted to make sure about the time for her next client, are we both reading English? I never wanted to reschedule after the way she spoke to me. I had a car accident on the way to my appt. Your stylist told me I'd be charged a for cancelling before 24 hours. The no show no call list was after I kindly explained the accident. I didnt want to reschedule. Your attitude was disgusting after something bery scary. Your story is so far fetched to save face..
You're trying to make yourself look good .
Y'all weren't reasonable or concerned. I said she was unprofessional after I explained and she said, "If you aren't here in 4 minutes we have to cancel"
I blocked her and moved on with my life, found a great salon, and that's that. Don't try to lie abs make me sound unreasonable to save face . It was a car accident. I didn't want anything to with your business. You didn't dismiss me, I said, "Please do not contact me further."
I filed a dispute with my credit card for the no show fee, won that, and you sound bitter...but let's not tell lies.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1Business owner information

Hi Arle, I am sorry you feel this way and are upset. However I am a little confused as our texts to each other are not what you are quoting in your review. The stylists you were booked with no longer felt comfortable working with you after you escalated the situation and called her unprofessional and inappropriate after she texted you to see if you were still going to make it to your appointment after she had been waiting for you and not heard anything from you. We absolutely understand accidents happen and are not charging you for your missed appointment but at the same time we have a strict no bad energy policy. After you became this upset with us before even speaking to us we knew immediately this was not going to work out any longer. We are all human and don't appreciate people being rude to us when we are just doing our job. We had plenty other clients have to reschedule due to severe weather complications and was no issue. I am sorry the text sent to you was taken differently than intended, we in no way intended that texts to be passive. Was meant to be direct to the point. It was simply asking if you were going to be making it still and informing you of our policy.
Yelp no longer allows us to post pictures in response to reviews but this is what I read on the salon phone exactly word for word between you and my stylist.
"Hi ari, this is natalia from hue hair lounge. Just wanted to make sure you're still going to come to your appointment you made for 10:15 this morning. It's currently 10:24 and after 10:30 I will no longer be able to wait for you and will have to mark your appointment as a no show. Our no show fee is $50 and will need to be paid before you can book any future appointments. Thanks so much!" then you responded with "hi there, unfortunately I was in a car accident this morning, someone crashed into me from behind after they hit some ice, its been chaotic and still waiting on tow truck with police officer. I understand abs so sorry. Cant discuss right now but will have to call later to reschedule and pay." then before we could respond you then followed with "honestly the last kind of stress I need right now, I'm very sorry but this was not on my mind considering the emergency situation. Please keep in mind before you texts clients unprofessionally and inappropriately again."
my stylist responded with "Sorry to hear that. Hope everybody involved was okay. We actually totally understand when accidents happen. and will usually waive fees for emergency situations. but we don't know they happen until you tell us. That's why we reach out. We like to remind clients of the policy when they don't reach out first to give them a chance to either come in or let us know if there is an emergency. Unfortunately it seems like maybe we wont be a good match and will encourage you to go elsewhere for any future appointments you may need. Thanks so much"
I have been in similar situations and understand emotions may be a bit high after being shaken up from an accident. That contacting us about your appointment was not at the front of your mind, and had you been understanding with us, we would have treated you with the same understanding. But after a client escalates their emotions with us, it crosses a line that makes everybody involved uncomfortable. We love our job and our clients and work very hard to maintain a happy, healthy and comfortable environment for our staff and clients. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding and that this salon did not work out for you. Natalia is a great stylist and in no way intended to offend you. She simply was trying to make sure she would have enough time for your highlight service without running time over on her next client scheduled.Feb 7, 2022Previous reviewWell. I was disgusted with the customer service here, mostly with "Nathalie." It was going to be my first time at this salon, I needed a full set of highlights (maybe partial, wasn't sure) and I booked based on the reviews here. This just so happened to be on 2/4 the day the closed all the schools and a lot establishes because of the dark/dreary, icy roads, FREEZE/emergency weather. The salon is clear there is a cancellation fee so I was desperate to find child care since school was now closed. My appt was early morning, salon is 8 miles from my home, so I avoided the highway and went a longer route. I was rear ended after a woman and her two children hit a patch of ice and slammed into me. It was horrible. The kids were little so scared and crying, I was shaken up since I'm 40 and this was my first accident. The other lady is completely traumatized because her kids. And I get a lovely text from Nathalie saying "your appointment was 9 minutes ago, I'm going to wait 4 more minutes and if you aren't here you will have to pay a no show fee because I have other clients." I understand this is a business and why these rules are in place. But surely, once I let her know an accident just happened with the bad weather, she would understand. I apologized profusely and explained what happened. There was so much chaos I didn't realize the time or to call before my appt. started. I didn't get a single apology for her unprofessional/passive aggressive text I didn't even get asked if any of us were okay, most decent people or establishments would say, "Oh I'm so sorry to hear that! Let's get you rescheduled and I'm glad everyone is relatively okay." NOPE!
This god awful stylist sent me a generic email letting me know I was put on a list of clients who were no call/no show, and I had to pay a large fee before I could book an appointment again. Thank you for showing how you treat your customers and that money and your time is more important than an emergency situation where people's lives are at stake. You're a terrible person. - Joy K.Houston, TX12712Feb 22, 2022
I'm going grey, not so gracefully. I've colored my hair for years and finally decided I was done and was going to let my grey shine through.
With my grey "roots" and different tones of reds and brown Ive drenched my head with, I was a mess.
I went and saw Brittany, she sat with me and asked what I wanted, then she told me what could be done.
She lifted the dyed colors I had and blended the grey that was already there.
It came out fantastic, my hair is now back to its natural color, it hadn't been that in over 30 years, and now with my hair slowly turning grey it will look more natural.
Thank you BrittanyHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sarah S.Houston, TX20364Mar 7, 2023
Brittany is THE BEST. She saves my life every time she does my hair. I literally show up with barely an idea and 2 pictures from Pinterest and she somehow always does exactly what I want/need and I leave with perfect hair. Highly recommend.

I'm new to the area and needed to find a hair stylist. I'm a SAHM and pretty much haven't done anything to my hair for 4 years, but I have a tropical vacation coming up and decided to splurge on a cut and balayage (blonde on my light brown). I chose Hue Hair Lounge because of the proximity AND great Yelp reviews. Well, Yelp failed me hard on this one.
I told the stylist who cut my hair that I have fine, straight hair and I want a bob (which meant chopping off a good 5-6 inches). She assured me she was familiar with fine hair because that's what her mom has and she cuts her hair. Fantastic!
Well, fine, straight hair is not forgiving and as you can see from the photos, unless I curl the hair under, it looks like she took a hacksaw to my hair: you see every scissor cut.
I finally decided, after a week, that it was worth complaining about and Ellen, bless her, came to my rescue and fixed it, FREE OF CHARGE. The woman's a saint who deserves your business. Go to Ellen if you have fine, straight hair.
I went to a different stylist, who claims to specialize in blonde hair, for my balayage. I showed a photo of what I was thinking, but told her she's the expert, so whatever she thinks would look good, go for it. Well. That was a mistake. We have wildly different definitions of what looks good. She gave me something that doesn't remotely look natural (in her defense, I did not STRESS to her that I wanted a natural look; I naively assumed "balayage = natural looking" because I've gotten balayage elsewhere before and it was always subtle and very natural looking). She gave me "money pieces" in the front that make me look like Rogue from Xmen. One of the sides is stripey and very early 2000's. And the back, exacerbated by the initial bad haircut, looks like I have a dark line of hair below all the blonde.
And to make matters worse, I bought product to keep my hair healthy after all the bleaching, and then TIPPED HER 20% on the total amount of balayage PLUS products. So she got a fantastic tip from me.
When I complained a couple days later that I was not happy with the color, she basically blamed me for requesting something that I wouldn't like and for not letting her use her "advanced teasy technique" (which is just teasing the hair -- which (A) hurt quite a bit and (B) is not required to make balayage look good and (C) is not good for fine hair that knots and breaks easily) and said she couldn't fix it until 2.5 weeks out (but if it was at a time convenient to me, then it would've been a month out). My vacation, which was the entire purpose for the splurge, is 1 week away. But even ignoring that, I'm supposed to look like a wanna-be teenager for a MONTH? It looks so unprofessional; thank goodness I'm a SAHM.
Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere and will not be returning to Hue Hair Lounge.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 106227131Sep 10, 2021
I am so happy I found this salon and especially Ellen. She rocked my hair world.
The salon is super cute ,hip and the vibe is awesome. They sell a great selection of hair care products and I'll definitely be back.
I have short hair after a terrible platinum card I received at another salon. I was in desperate need of a shape up. I was so utterly disgusted by my hair when I walked in however I walked out with my confidence restored..
Ellen's speciality is curly hair. Unfortunately I couldn't oblige her as my hair is bone straight But she gave me a magnificent cut regardless.
All you curly babes need to see her. She will rock your curl world .
I will definitely be back for my next styleHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Reagan M.Katy, TX05Aug 20, 2023

Had my hair dyed here last week, and they did a great job. I showed the stylist some photos and she was helpful with recommendations since I'd never dyed my hair before. Prices were also very good, in my opinion.
