• Went to Hudson/Hawk for the first time this morning. Outstanding haircut, beard trim, service, and atmosphere. And the major product used in the shop? Layrite. The whole place smelled like that vanilla. In fact, after my haircut, beard trim, steamed towel treatment, and shampoo, Mitch applied Layrite Matte Cream to my hair (topped with Byrd Surfspray). Sure made my day. And the 25% discount for Veterans (and police, fire, etc.) was a nice touch. Will be going back to this place for sure. Oh, and I am in my Sixties - I've been to so many other barber shops in KC, I have lost count. So believe me when I say this place is outstanding.
