• Yesterday when I called to book a remote session for my grand-puppy, Bramble, he was whimpering due to pain in his front, right leg that was injured a few weeks ago. (I’m puppy sitting for my kids.) He also sounded like he had laryngitis when he tried to bark and just looked miserable. He would try to play, but couldn’t. He ate a little bit of his food, but did it laying down. He did perk up a little bit when I carried him outside for about twenty minutes. Then he came in and slept for the rest of the day. An hour before the session was to start, he started coughing and I was ready to take him into the emergency vet. That’s when my husband mentioned that the kids mentioned that he might have kennel cough. I decided to give the remote session a chance to work & that if he wasn’t better in the morning that I’d take him to his regular vet. As of this morning: Bramble is definitely doing better today. His voice is at least twice as strong. He was moving slowly around the garden this morning on his own without limping. He actually went over to the gate to bark at people in the park. He still can’t do the stairs and he’s only whimpered once in the five hours that we’ve been up. He was able to eat standing up, which he didn’t do yesterday at all. And so far, no coughing. He’s resting now, but the light in his eyes isn’t nearly as pain filled as yesterday.
