I wrote a blog post about my experience, feel free to use what you want for your website. Monday night around 7:30, the four of us finally sat down at the table for dinner. With two teenagers, it takes an act of God to get the whole family to eat together, and have these kids actually share a story or two about their days. You can imagine the consternation I felt when, right in between a bite of chicken casserole and hearing about some kid who farted in class, my cell phone rang. Like Pavlov’s dog, and without thinking, I got up and looked at the phone. Gino? My cell phone was telling me that Gino, a guy who used to cut my hair until he moved to a new location out of the way, was calling me. At home. On a Monday night. During my family time. Surely this had to be important, so I almost angrily answered, and now I’m glad I did. “DJ,” he said in his slight Russian accent, “where have you been? I have not seen you in forever.” Now be honest. How many times have you gotten a call from a barber personally to come in and get a haircut? Wouldn’t that make you feel special? You see, his shop is always busy and you have to make reservations, so I got in the habit of just stopping in anywhere and getting it done. My wife hates it, but I am a man. That’s what we do. I had forgotten how special a good haircut experience can be. Gino has mastered the art of small talk. He must keep notes on the side about each person’s family. He takes a full hour and works my head like a piece of artwork. The man then sheers the hair off the back of my neck with a straight razor that makes my neck so smooth that I can’t stop rubbing it. Not just one hot towel on your face, but two, with a massage that can turn a stiff 2x4 into a noodle. The cherry on the top for me is the aftershave that gets sprayed on the back of my neck. The smell reminds me of my dad waking me up with a kiss on Sunday mornings. I thanked Gino last night for the haircut experience and for being the impetus for this week’s tip. Here’s the tip: Over promise, and over deliver in all that you do. Deliver the type of service that gives you the real confidence to reach out to people to ask for their business. And deliver the type of service that inspires a person like me to write about it. Then you will always be in demand. Best wishes, The DeejDAN J.

John cut my hair for the first time. I have been coming to Gino's for a few months now and even though I have always received a great haircut, John did the best job in my opinion.Tony G.

One of the best haircuts I have ever had! Attention to detail was great, no hurry, very relaxing. Just plan a head, they are busy and don’t take any appointments after 7:00 p.m.DALE E.
