I visited FTB while we were in NOLA for from Michigan on a business trip. If I lived here, I would have joined on the spot. I didn't get to take advantage of their out-of-towner special. But, they offer 3 classes with mat and towel rental for around $60. That's a great deal and option. Good to know in the future.

The facility is beautiful and really relaxing. The sun poured in the big industrial style windows. (Helpful to know for the morning classes). My instructor was awesome. I love that they offer a yes/no card to opt in or out of hands on assistance and instruction. It was helpful to ensure correct form.

I attended the Yoga beats class and whew!!!! I was a bucket of sweat. It was fantastic!! Good to know but not found on the website (that I saw): they have a shower available to use after class if needed. And had I known, I would have come prepared. Because I needed it!

It was also super helpful and refreshing to find a healthier side of town. There are lots of great healthy food options near by that you're just not going to readily find on the other side of Canal street. So glad I found this place.

Well done, FTB! Thank you for your hospitality! I even picked up my one souvenir NOLA t-shirt. Can't wait to wear it!

I was visiting NOLA and took a couple great classes here. The Friday 5:15am class and the Sunday 8am class......AWESOME

I liked the instructor better in the Friday class but both were great. The Sunday class had a bit more explanation

Overall a great experience and I'd love to go back when I'm in town

I was in town for vacation, and I try to get my asana practice in while supporting independent, boutique local studios. I'm an early riser, so naturally I'm all for morning classes. I was perusing through Mindbody and saw that Free to Be Power Yoga has 6am weekday classes.

I signed up for the 6am weekday class on Monday morning. I unfortunately missed the class because of the Uber app. The address that auto-populated in the app was inaccurate. After I google searched the correct address (725 Magazine St.) and course corrected with my driver, I was 8 minutes late to the class. I'm a yoga teacher out in California, so I know better than to show up late and disrupt the class. I had my driver route me back to my hotel.

I contacted the studio via email, explained my situation, and requested for a reschedule for the following day. Colleen responded back to me promptly and helped sign me up for class the next day at the same time. I had such a positive email interaction with Colleen, and I felt her genuine care and empathy. Not all studio managers are like this FYI!

The studio was absolutely stunning. Like the name of the studio, the space felt very open, expansive, freeing. Loved the exposed beams, bricks, and just the whole industrial warehouse look. I thought it was cool how they used curtains to transform the practice space and draw your awareness away from the reception area.

I took Lauren's 60-min. all levels class that I believe was based off Baptiste's Power style. I haven't taken a power class in a while, so I had fun challenging myself with the arm balances and inversions she offered. Great music set list.

I'm a flight attendant that was only in town for 1 night. I searched the MindBody app for nearby yoga & happened to be there the day they offered community class. It was a $10 fee. So worth it. Beau was the instructor. He is awesome. The space is large. It was a full class. I paid for the mat/towel rental- $3. I Hope next time I'm in town I can pop into another class.

What a gorgeous studio! Feels like practicing in a loft with the windows and exposed brick. Stopped by while traveling, and I'm glad I did. The studio is heated, and depending on the time of day it may even be warmer if sun is shining in the class. My class focus was on hips which was much needed and the instructor was great. Interested in everyone's comfort(from the temp to understanding the moves). This isn't going to be a super cardio heavy class if you're looking for one, more of a focus on staying in the pods did longer.

Renting a mat is free the first class and water is $2. Towels are available at no cost.

So Free to Be recently took over this space from Reyn studio. I have been a member of Free to Be for a few years so I really like the teachers and the practice. That's a given. I showed up last Sunday for their grand opening. The space is fantastic. I took a few pics but had to post to Reyn's old Yelp page. The space is very in line with the Warehouse District. The studio has tons of natural light and so much room to practice. Hardwood floors and exposed brick look really nice for this downtown studio.

As for the facilities, they have a few bathrooms, a nice check in desk and plenty of cubbies.

The uptown location is my usual spot but I plan on making a few trips downtown to practice in this wonderful studio. Sunday, there is free parking downtown plus Peche and Meril are really close. Great location to segway into some post-exercise brunch.

Reyn Studios is my favorite yoga studio of all time! It's a gorgeous, large space with high ceilings and a lot of windows with that great natural lighting. I love the minimal decor with their hanging lights, exposed brick interior, Himalayan rock salt lamps and green plants that align the window ledge. It all contributes to setting the mood for an amazing yoga session. There's a huge mirror along one side of the wall which I find is an added benefit for checking my posture. The room is slightly heated to a comfortable temperature - it's not exactly "hot yoga" but it'll definitely get you sweating those toxins out. What I like most is their ventilation system because it never feels stuffy or unbearable. At the end of each class, the instructors walk around with eucalyptus scented towels to cool you down.

Their R1 classes (Vinyasa yoga) are the only ones I've tried so far but they're great for anyone new to yoga or looking to develop their practice further. I always feel so limber and relaxed when I leave here. My sister practices yoga regularly in New York; I took her here for a class with me the last time she was in town and she was also very impressed with the facility and instructor.

Reyn is a really gorgeous studio. I stopped by the shop to check in and was impressed by the merchandise and by how quiet and calm it felt. The studio, Mainstage, was super clean and beautiful. As some other reviewers mentioned, it was very warm, which I found to be perfect.

I noticed that you could get a discount on the website by signing up online, so I was able to do a drop-in for $14 which is a big discount from the usual $20 rate. Although, you should expect to pay for parking and plan to drive around for a minute looking for a spot, too.

The class that I took was listed as an "All Levels" class. I would not exactly say that was true. There was almost no explanation of poses. The instructor was very nice and welcoming as she walked around adjusting people's posture, but she simply said the name of each pose with no demonstration at all. Everyone seemed to follow along fine and I definitely got the impression that I was probably the only new-comer which could be why she wasn't modeling, but I found that a bit intimidating anyway. This is also the first class that I've been in where it's pretty much expected that everyone can get into a crow pose. I wouldn't consider that an all-levels pose. Again, it could just be because I was the only new person in a small class. Overall, as a new student without a ton of experience, I felt kind of uncomfortable and out of place.

If you're experienced enough to follow along with prompting, this is a beautiful and serene studio. But if you're newer to yoga, you might try somewhere that's a little more beginner-centric.

I have found my yoga studio. I've been shopping around lately, as it's time for me to get back to my practice. I was advised to stop practicing hot yoga when I found out I was pregnant. After the baby came, it was just hard to find time to resume my yoga, especially when we have no family here to help out. But 2019, I told myself, I needed to practice again. My body and mental state was just craving it. So I shopped around and was looking for a mixed variety of classes and something in resemblance to Core Power (that was my yoga spot). Reyn studio has multiple classes, the studio is spacious and bright, and most importantly, it doesn't smell! A lot of hot yoga places smell, and it's pleasantly surprising when you find one that doesn't!

The studio is two tiered and has one shower upstairs. It's very modern and chic. I love how they offer different classes throughout the day, as this helps with my schedule. The instructors are awesome, they put a lot of thought into their classes, and the flows are always interesting and challenging. For those who are a Core Power junkie, Reyn also offers similar classes like C1/C2/C3, but renamed to R1/R2/R3 to cater to all levels. I admit I was upset when I moved here and saw no Core Power, but Reyn is a more upscale notch from there. They also give you scented wet towels at the end of the class!
