  • Sherman is the best of the best when it comes to an instructor. He engages, educates and motivates. I've taken many fitness classes. Sherman's creative approach to sequencing, consistent innovation and invention of new variations of warmups, combinations and conditioning exercises, the clarity of explanation, which is supported by his continuing to model, explain, demonstrate and coach the task throughout the minute of exercise, that he has unique and specific challenges and celebrations built into class (sallies, stairway, gangum) that bond the class participants together- he is a masterclass in fitness instruction. I have recommended him highly to anyone who will listen!
  • Your great
  • The coaches are incredible! All the support in the classes and in the legacy program are amazing and I always have a lot of fun
  • Ever since I started taking the AM classes almost everyday, there hasn't been a day I wanted bad foods (i.e. pizza, cheese, chips, baked goods including but not limited to breads, pies, cookies, muffins, scones, cakes, any wheat products including pasta, dairy, salad dressings, condiments, anything sweet except for fresh fruits) because the endorphin levels increase. Once I bit into a scone to see what would happen. I noticed that there was sugar in it but it just didn't do anything to me. I didn't like it or hate it. I just found it to be totally irrelevant and unnecessary for me. Therefore, no need to touch any of those foods. All the bad foods are totally irrelevant to me and they can stay out of my life forever as long as I can keep my endorphin levels at a certain level. The only time I opened a bag of chips to get my endorphins up as a quick fix was when I was physically in the same space with people who are sedentary and low energy (at least by my standards) because their presence was draining, made me feel sluggish and I wasn't in a place where I can just run off and work out. I don't think one person would have had that effect on me. When you surround yourself with more than few of them, that's when it could hit you unless you make yourself aware of that and brace for that. After having this kind of learning experience, I learned to plan things ahead of time to prepare for that kind of scenario so that I can keep my endorphin levels high enough regardless of who is physically in the same space. I can always take another class in the evening and offset the energy that doesn't serve me well. Another added benefit...even though I have been in close contact with people who tested covid positive on numerous occasions, I didn't get any symptoms, probably because I doubled up on my workout as soon as I learned that I was in close contact with them. Actually one of my favorite experiences with fit hit is the time I was doing the 6 week challenge in summer of 2019. When I was on my way to class crossing the street, I got hit by a biker who weighed at least 300 pounds. I fell to the ground and got bruised all over on my right side of the body. I was already strong enough to get up and go to class after a few weeks into the challenge. 10 days after this incident, I was able to kayak all around Manhattan, which means I already recovered by then when most people experiencing what I experienced would have been stuck with pesky injuries, hospital bills, personal injury lawyers and years in depositions and courts. There is actually some benefit to improving the aesthetics with fit hit. When my aesthetics improved, a lot of people stopped trying to drag me into partying, boring dinners and any type of sedentary activities. Not only that, I have been able to show them and explain to them the benefit of working out. In fact, I have been able to get some people to change their life style and work out, whether it be running or gym workout or something else.
