• i always enjoy 8:30 pm classes, whoever is instructing or at the front desk is always friendly and warm greeting you - even if they don't recognize you (og membership). i enjoy the commitment to the ~vibes~ that go beyond just a hot yoga class or a workout that makes Fahrenheit a special studio. Some examples... instructors like Naiyema, Chloe, Jimi, to name a few, always have some kind of ending meditative song during savasana (my favorites are the ones that have some kind of spoken word about healing or time over a soft beat), maybe some gentle kind words before class begins that get your mind involved in practice as much as body.. i like how instructors can set their own unique vibes and put their personal style into their classes. Naiyema always lights an incense stick. Chloe makes a point to say you can take it as far or as easy as you want in the play poses, and that the point isn't to look perfect in a hard pose, it's to simply try. Ali usually addresses class at the beginning in a friendly, upbeat and down to earth way, likes ppl to laugh or get everyone more into it by encouraging them to let out occasional "woo!"s. It's little things like this that give Fahrenheit its unique style and personality that sets it apart from other studios ive been to. I never stop appreciating those little things no matter how many classes I go to, and im sure these vibes are appreciated by yoga newbies just as much as the veterans. i am sad to have to cancel my og membership this month, cuz i will miss this place.
