I was desperately looking for a place to help me with my daughters hair. I thought keeping their hair natural was the healthiest route and that it would naturally grow on its own. However, I realized that, that was not the case and my daughters beautiful hair was actually being damaged with over powering gels and edge control, and other harsh chems. Visiting Epic was a great experience, environment was comfortable and Saash was very nice and gave me different options to help my daughters hair grow healthy. Definitely going back.

When I tell you the best service!! I was looking for a place near the pines area to maintain my natural hair. So, happy I found Epic Hair Studio. My hair is always shinny full of body and every where I go, I receive so many compliments.

Called in and was lucky enough to get an open slot. Very chill atmosphere. Most of the clients I saw were also natural ( locs included).
As far as my stylist Blondivva(sp?), she was great, wash treat and twist on my hair, just as I requested. Very respectful, explained what she was doing and gentle on my scalp.

I had a really great experience at this salon. The environment was very aesthetically pleasing and the service was very personable. The stylist was focused on me during my service and made great recommendations for resolving some hair issues I had been having. The price was economically and I was pleased with my results! Can't wait to go back!

I had an appointment yesterday with saasha and im soooo happy! I recently decided to say goodbye to harsh blowouts and embrace my curls as a New Years resolution. Needless to say I've been struggling. I was in dire need of a trim, style and I really wanted to become a "natural looking" copper redhead. Saasha made my dreams come true. She was extremely warm, talked me through the whole process, listened to my input and gave me everything I wanted. Thank you!!!

I'm so disappointed with what happened here today. I called this salon telling them that I would be late after my mom requested to send supplies and food to my family after Hurricane Matthew. In the process of finally making my way to the salon my phone dies and constantly recycles never to turn back on. I stop at a gas station to charge my phone and ask for directions and make my way back based on memory. Before I arrive I look them up on Google on the gas station attendants phone, call them, Stacha answers and I tell her of my issue throughly and was given an OK to still come.
On my way out of the salon ask me to pay for my braid takeout, shampoo and blowout from yesterday. I told them that I in fact did pay but I've come to the conclusion that he only reason they allowed me come in the long run was because they thought I didn't pay for yesterday's service rather than telling me immediately when I walked through the door.
I asked why did they allow me to come after I told them what I had dealt with earlier in that day and Stacha responded telling me that it doesn't make up as to why I was two hours late (Granted, but I was lost, my phone died and didn't know how to get there without GPS) and that she didn't know who was doing my hair and what I was coming forafter I throughly explained to her exactly what happened, on top of where she gave me directions herself remembering I was there yesterday and why.
I came here because it's a black business and because I was recommended of it via the owners brother. They made no attempt to work with me and the suggestions that I offered. I would of been there still regardless into the evening having my hair braided and would of gladly came back a day or two after to finish so as long as something was done.
I walked out saying thank you and Trisha stopped me to ask to pay for yesterday's service. I told her I had paid and then she asked me what my friend got done and that she did pay too. I proceeded to walk out and all I received was a sorry because they thought I didn't pay for the service. This makes me come to believe that my integrity was questioned because they must of figured that I wouldn't of paid if they'd simply asked for it over the phone. A simple check of their invoices and or a call to their stylist who did my hair would of fixed that.
Trisha said she wasn't in store when I called asking for directions but yet she knew to ask me of payment for a service I received yesterday.
I called in to advise of my issues hoping to be worked with but as far as Epic is concerned I've found that simply having a talent to do hair doesn't equip one to run a business or teach one how to use great customer service.
I won't ever return here again and will be sure to advise others of it. I've dealt with far less as have business owners go over any beyond when not necessary. The LONE STAR is for my stylist (who was great) yesterday and the missing 4 is for the service and lack of flexibility Epic exhibited today.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

We at Epic strive to give the ultimate naturalista the best in trend and hair care.The situation described above is unfortunate to say the least. We at Epic Hair aim to run a efficient scheduling process through our online booking system, and we understand that our clients are just as busy as we are. We make all efforts to accommodate missed appointments, but it becomes difficult to address chronic issues and flexibility is diplomatic but not required when appropriate communication is lacking. Again, this situation was unfortunate and we have learned greatly from the experience. Good Day!

My review is in two parts. Love, Love, Love Veronica. This was my first experience at Epic Hair Studio. I must say, I was skeptical about going to the salon and the staff following CDC guidelines due to COVID-19. I was apprehensive due to the temperature in the salon and the electric curlers, steam press etc.
Veronica, was extremely, knowledgeable about hair care treatment for natural hair. She was very attentive to her customer, very professional and took her time in detangling my hair. If I stayed in FL, she would definitely, be my stylist. I absolutely, love her and wishing her success in all her endeavors. Im hoping one day she opens her own natural hair care salon. However, on the other hand, I was disappointed about the staff and clients being spaced out. I didn't see this. I do understand it's a small shop. But I hope the owner considers making arrangements.I was also annoyed at one of the stylist not wearing a mask (not the entire time) and sneezing and not covering her mouth and did not wash her hands. As a medical professional, I was extremely annoyed and felt the stylists in the shop did not take the guidelines serious or being consider for the safety and public health of the customers in the shop. Our clients deserve to feel safe when visiting our salon, Bran, so we're very sorry if your experience left you feeling differently. Rest assured, we're taking these CDC guidelines seriously. Those of our community in the medical profession are always top of mind when we come into the salon. We've got only four of our seven stations open -- with disinfectant and hand sanitizer at each -- at a time right now, and we're only letting a maximum of 10 people occupy our salon at one time -- both staff and customers included. All of our customers and staff should be aware of these policies and procedures as they come in with our visible signage out front.

I do not write reviews but this .....First time and i had the worse experience with the stylist called Shizzy, so full of herself, lack customer training, she moved my time from 12pm to 1:30pm and still wasted extra 30mins of my time. I did not get a neat hair style after all her silly procedures. The worst of all, she kept pulling my hair even when i told her i have a sensitive scalp. I Could not wait for her to be done so i could leave cos exchanging words with her was not worth my strength.

I love this salon! I've been going here for years. Sascha does an amazing job on my hair. And she always seems to be thoroughly invested in my hair, telling me about changes she sees in it and giving me advice and tips. She always remembers my hair even if I haven't been there in months and I appreciate her investment in my hair. My blow out always lasts a long time even in the Florida humidity. And it's a great price! I definitely recommend Epic Hair Studio as a place to get a quality and affordable blow out.
