ElectionCycle is a great studio with friendly and flexible customer service, excellent instructors, and convenient class times. Classes are much more affordable than other spin studios, especially the monthly packages. Cycling shoes are also included in the class price which I have not seen elsewhere.

The instructors provide a good variety of styles, are extremely positive, and have been helpful if I need anything. Signing up for classes online is quick and easy. I always get a good workout and really enjoy coming to ElectionCycle.

I definitely recommend supporting this local business!

This studio was clean and quaint. You enter and check-in; there are open cubby holes to store your belongings. I thought it was a good branding strategy that everything is themed around "election" since its located in DC near capital hill. I'd say the class fits no more than 20 people.

For me, things I didn't personally enjoy was my shoes not clicking in (strap them in). Also, I felt like we were cycling with music in the background; oppose to cycling to the rhythm of the beat. I don't think this was a bad reflection of studio, it's just how some people cycle.

I attended using my class pass. I'd recommend you try them to see if they're a good fit for you.

I came here for a charity spin class without any expectations. The place was brand new and very clean. The spin room was clean as well as all of the bikes. They have a bathroom which was also clean. It's a small boutique studio. The instructor was awesome and highly energetic. It was a challenging class and I enjoyed every second of it. The place is dark so if you are self conscious you'll be totally ok! It's not convenient to be s regular spot for me but I would totally drop in for a class if in the area

You get what you pay for here, and then only if you get one of the specials. I would not purchase ten classes at a time and I would not pay full price for a class. Notably you are out of your seat a lot more than in other studios, however, the level of instruction is not up to par.

Perfunctory spin class for ~30 minutes, then ~10 minutes of hand weights, then another ~10 minutes of spin. Was checking my watch by 15 minutes in, and my heart rate never went above 122. The instructor seemed to think that chatter and stories about her boyfriend could substitute for great pedagogy.

The scented cold towels at the end of class were nice.

As noted by others, the common areas are too small for people to return their weights without going single file, for people to get their belongings out of the cubbies without going single file, for people to change after class without being on top of each other.

They have filtered water, but the bottle was empty on my visit. They have a shower and a toilet in the back. They sell sweatshirts. A person checks you in on a pad. The instructor waited for late arriving students.

First timer here! If you're like me and havent gone to a spin class before, it can be pretty intimidating. Like other Yelpers before me have mentioned, the studio is a bit small. Case in point: the bathroom is located in the back and there's only one stall. Cubbies are right by the entrance to the bikes - this caused a bit of traffic when I was exiting class when others were coming in and everyone was changing shoes by the entrance.

The class and the instructor were very encouraging. You're surrounded by first timers and seasoned cyclists but made to feel welcome. Once class starts, the lights dim, the music blasts and you're focused only on pushing yourself.

I'd like to highlight the cold eucalyptus towels they give after class but also how my instructor came up to me after class to make sure I had a good experience and whether I'd any questions. Definitely give this place a try before it's no longer a secret!

I just took my first class (Bethany was the instructor)....it was AMAZING!!!! Everyone was extremely friendly; Bethany was encouraging and gave me a great work out; the music kept me upbeat and motivated. Parking was easy to find!!! I'm sure my butt will hurt tomorrow but I had a great workout and will definitely be returning for more. The cold eucalyptus towel at the end was an added bonus (and smelled great!!).

I honestly love this local studio. The vibe is right, the classes are the perfect combo of challenging and fun, the instructors are bomb, and the owner is a badass female! The offer you spin shoes, and sometimes mimosas, offer great discounts and have a lot of charity rides! Check them out! You won't be sorry!

Nothing, but incredibly positive things to say about ElectionCycle!

I spin pretty frequently, so I was excited to see an email from the studio regarding the purchase of Tiem shoes around the holidays. I was particularly excited, since I had an upcoming work trip to Atlanta coming up and the hotel I stayed at had Peloton bikes (which I've been DYING to try out).

When I received my shoes, they were unfortunately too small so I had to exchange them for my actual size (for those of you who want to purchase Tiem shoes in the future, they are definitely true to size). Since it's around the holidays, the studio let me know that there may be some delays but they would keep me updated about when the shoes would ship.

The morning the shoes were out for delivery, one of the studio owners emailed me, letting me know that they should arrive that day (the day before my work trip). It was around the evening time where I was getting a bit antsy, when Vanessa, one of the staff members, texted me letting me know they they were in transit. She gave me status updates of when the shoes arrived to her home, went into the studio and put on the clips, and I had a chance to pick them up at 7:30pm (my flight was 6am the next day).

In all, talk about EXCEPTIONAL customer service and going out of your way to ensure that someone has a positive experience. This studio may not have all the "frills" that a SoulCycle would have, but they truly care about their clientele and going the extra mile to ensure all customers are satisfied. One of my favorite parts of my trip was finally being able to try a Peloton bike (and clipping in!). That wouldn't have happened without Vanessa and the team at ElectionCycle.

Thank you to the great staff who work there--I'll definitely be returning (also the playlists at ElectionCycle are 1,000x better than the Peloton bike classes)!

This cycling studio is just the cutest. Very boutique-like, but not too posh. The staff is truly lovely and welcoming and, when you are partaking in a little self-care, a warm and comfortable environment makes all the difference. I took Bethany's class last weekend and was so impressed with her that I immediately signed up for another. Her instruction was clear, her vibe was encouraging, and her music on point. Oh, and the bikes themselves are utterly fantastic - hands down providing the smoothest ride I've had to date, and I've ridden on many a spin bike in this town. The chilly eucalyptus towels they hand out at the end of class are such a wonderful touch on what is overall a pretty spectacular experience. Great, great place and I can't wait to come back!

If you're really into soul cycle, cycle bar or flywheel, this studio just can't compare to it's higher sticker price counterparts. But... when you don't want to pay $30 for your spin class or you're looking for a studio closer to home, ElectionCycle could fit the bill!

      +'s:
+ Convenient location and easy to find
+ Much lower cost per class than its competitors ($22 per class, but $18.50 per class if you buy the 10 pack)
+ Much cheaper rates on class pass than other cycling studios
+ Great customer service when I missed my original class and emailed them, they were happy to accommodate me by putting me into another class a week later. Super appreciated their flexibility after something unexpected came up!
+ Cold towel with aromatherapy oils at the end of class was a nice touch
+ Free cycle shoes with your ride

      -'s:
      - 1 bathroom combined with 1 shower. You couldn't really feasibly use this shower since it would mean no one in the entire place could use the bathroom. I'm not down for holding up everyone else anxiety myself, but you do you!
      - No changing facilities. I ended up showing up about 6 minutes before class and there was already a few people in line for the 1 bathroom. Queue me deciding (after hearing the suggestion from a staff member) to change in the maintenance room with a curtain. Unfortunately, it's just a curtained off area, so I was walked in on twice.
      - Staff did not do a good job giving me the 411 on the studio. No one offered to help me set up my bike, no one told me I needed to grab weights, and I had to ask fellow studio goers where the bathroom was.
-Not a lot of space to put your belongings. Cubbies in the back of the studio fill up quick.
-The mic didn't really work for the instructor for those of us in the back. I could barely hear what she was saying, and I was in the third or fourth row. I only knew what to do because the girl in front of me was a regular and seemed to pick up more easily on the instructors cues
-The instructor seemed to ask if anyone needed weights but then couldn't see me when I was trying to get her attention. I couldn't do the weight series because I didn't have any and didn't want to clip out and walk through the small spaces to try to get the weights at the front of the studio.
-Trap music Thursday ride was meh. I'm not huge into trap music, but I didn't find the musical selections that interesting or paired to the ride we were doing.
-Uninspiring instructor. DIdn't feel motivated to push myself. She mostly stayed at the front of the studio and didn't do much to encourage cyclists from there either. I did the 6:30 Trap Class with Bethany.

Overall, for the price point, I might give it another try and I do like the idea of a smaller, community-based cycling studio that Election Cycle is trying to offer. Maybe another instructor would create the more dynamic workout experience I like to get from my spin classes and I would leave feeling like I got a better workout. After Bethany's class, I didn't get the "spin high" that I normally get and felt a bit disappointed.
