Dolce Vita Luxury Day Spa

Well, we moved from New York and wanted a great spa. Our first time here. Well Dolce does it. The customer service was exellent. All the staff pampered my husband and I. We did the sauna, facial, massage, lunch package. Min-wah did my massage and she got so many knots out. Penny did my husband's massage and he was pleased especially since he has sensitive areas, she listened. The facials AMAZING. Lunch was healthy and tasty.

We have decided to come monthly

My GF surprised me with a spa day, for my birthday here and let me tell you, SAVE YOUR MONEY. I wanted to go back and raise hell when she told me what she paid.

She presumed with the nice location (Granite Bay) and the overall cost that this would be a hit. Wrong.

They served us cold, pastrami sandwiches for lunch (iceberg lettuce), on fold out plastic chairs and table. What?!

The facial was 30 mins of a women complaining about her job and patting my face with whatever it was.. no extractions or even a slice of cucumber in sight. Abhorrent.

The fanciest thing about this place is the name. Skip Skip Skip.

Also, the plumbing is so bad that it shakes the adjoining wall. I knew when the other couple was running their bath, because you can hear it.

Also there's nothing medical about this place except the scrubs they wore.

The establishment itself is kept very clean and seems very relaxing. I'm sure if I'd gone for a massage it would have been great. But I wanted a peel to address the sun spots and blemish scars on my face. The technician was very nice and professional during the service, so I do not have any complaints there. I've had peels before at other places so I know the reality of what to expect. However, I didn't see a single difference in my skin after my peel. I'm not kidding. I didn't notice any peeling or flaking. Another oddity is that there was no "post-treatment kit" sent home with me. I understand this might be a different type of peel than I've gotten before, but virtually every other place I've gotten a peel from before has sent home some type of after-care products to further assist the peel. Neither did anyone call me following the peel to ask how things were coming along, like other establishments have done. These practices may not be the procedures at Dolce Vita but it's very disappointing to say the least, considering they are in Granite Bay and are considered a medical spa. I've paid more for this service at other places so it's truly not about the money, it's about the fact that I truly feel like $200 went down the drain.

Girls spa trip to Granite Bay. This is located in a residential area and you'll miss it if not paying attention.

The facility was very nice, smelled clean but didn't see any of the usual spa amenities like sauna, steam room or pool. The changing room is very small and they told us (3) girls to share one small locker.

I had the Swedish massage $135 with the additional scalp/head massage $95. This is where it was confusing. She did massage my head but I don't think it was 30 minutes nor $95 worth. I mentioned to front desk and they took a discount off. I still tipped 20% bc the Swedish massage was relaxing. I know I fell asleep.

So our spa massage experience was okay but the girls up front were so nice and friendly.

Utmost care and customer service from the front desk till the doctors office. Highly recommend. Especially Diana at the front desk is the most patient and helpful CR. Thank you!

BEST MASSAGE IVE EVER HAD! I'm definitely going back! My friend and I went here for a much needed spa day for her birthday and I got the deep tissue thermal massage! My masseuse did a great job with making it a relaxing experience but she also really got in there and worked out the spots I had knots in which was basically everywhere (I stand all day for work so it was bad)! Also the whole facility was very nice and clean and they had robes and shoes for all sizes! We also got to enjoy mimosas while we were there! Everyone was very kind and welcoming throughout the spa! Overall it was an amazing experience!!!!

Best massage and facial (Special thanks to ManWah and Jocelyn) I have ever received, and I have received a lot of treatments from various spas in the past. The customer service was impeccable, and I will be returning again! I have already shared the spa's info with others. We received the couples package, and were truly pampered all day! The lunch was excellent as well. It was a true treat!

THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE):
- located in a quiet plaza off E Roseville Pkwy and Brackenbury Way
- driving to the plaza itself is serene; lots of greenery
- after parking and walking to the front entrance, there is a manicured lawn with concrete walkway and outdoor seating

THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE):
- lobby has a vintage looking couch for seating, an electrical fireplace, and the front desk workers who greet you
- there are two restrooms/bathrooms located in separate hallways by the binary gender (female vs. male)
- restrooms are very clean and equipped with washcloth towels for handwashing
- locker rooms are located within the restrooms with complimentary robes, slippers, and lockers (don't forget to put valuables in your locker and TAKE the key with you in your robe pocket!)
- locker rooms also have a shower room located off of it if you want to rinse off after your massage (complimentary full size toiletry usage)
- not sure if the male locker room has this, but the female locker room also has a vanity
- after changing out of street clothes (if you choose to utilize the robe) you're taken to the lounge where other guests are seated, awaiting for their massage therapist to call them and bring them to their assigned rooms for their services
- the lounge is a bit awkward (the time we were there, it was pretty full of people both waiting to get their massage and people lounging after their massage), but at least it's equipped with complimentary snacks and chocolates
- since we had a couples massage we were taken to a suite that had a bathtub and a sauna (the specific package we had included the hydrotherapy bath with essential oils but NOT the healing aromatherapy sauna)
- in the suite, the hydrotherapy bath was a bathtub IN the suite with bubbles
- in the suite, we were also greeted with complementary cucumber lemon water, mimosas, and snacks

WHAT WE ORDERED:
- Perfect Time Out for Two

CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- initially tried to book an appointment via the website and shortly after received a text confirmation of my appointment request, which instructed me to call the establishment
- I called the establishment to book an appointment and received a text confirmation reminder of the appointment
- other texts I received were to fill out a General Client Form (which helps expedite the check-in process; less paperwork to complete while in the lobby)
- everyone we encountered for our appointment was great; very warm, welcoming, and soothing
- my SO decided to take a shower after the massage and realized that there were no bath towels available to dry off, so he used the washcloths available for the handwashing in the bathroom to dry off; when he informed the front desk they were apologetic and informed him that they'll make sure bath towels are available for subsequent guests
- when we were in the lounge post-massage before checking out at the front desk, we overheard some workers informing other patrons in the lounge about price changes depending on pressure; standard is light pressure, but anything else would be more expensive (which was interesting to hear)
- we loved our experience overall and would definitely come again!

This weekend my boyfriend and I celebrated another year together and decided to get massages. We were lucky to have had Penny and Val (Visalia I believe) and they were so professional and kind.

We checked in right when they opened, the front desk ladies helped us both to the locker rooms and we were quickly checked into our room. Very clean, quick, thorough massages and professional masseuses. We left feeling so relaxed and grateful we were able to find this place and have such great service.
My only reason for leaving a star out is because we had never gotten professional massages and when we were walked to the locker rooms we didn't know how much to take off or keep on (we kept undies on but I didn't know what to do!!! Ahhhh! Lol) , also didn't know where things when after (basket for dirty robe and sandals), we managed but just more explanation would be very helpful.
We can't wait to be back. Thank you again. Definitely check this place out, it is worth it! :)
