Dogs-N-Style

I wanted to give this place a good review, especially since they came recommended and the person who helped me was nice...but if you have a dog that you want cut a specific way, in our case a a golden retriever, this would not be the place to go.

I thought I was very specific about leaving her chest hair long, and on her side long, and to cut some length off her back and tail..how a golden typically looks.

However it wasn't until I got home and took a good look that I realized the hack job my dog received. It looked like they took scissors to her top coat because she has random patches that stick up and curl out that she didn't have before. They also shaved her stomach...similar to what they did when she got spayed. Where they did use scissors on her back end and legs, it looks completely uneven.

On a positive note her paws looks good and they did it within the time frame they told me.

All in all, it just wasn't good. It'll take weeks before it grows out and we can try again and I don't know who would ever give a golden this type of cut. I won't go back.

This place has been great to us for years now , Walter is so kind and I love supporting his business and always keeps my dogs and my moms dogs looking great ! Try the furminator if your pets shedding I always get that for our pups!

I genuinely wish I didn't have to write a bad review, but when it's necessary it's necessary.
Quick background:
-Third or fourth time going here, it's right by our house and we haven't had any big issues with them.
About my dog:
She is the sweetest dog in the world
Has WHITE toe nails- THIS IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER.

I wanted to treat her today with a bath and all the fluff stuff because I asked for her to get her anal glands done, cut and filed down*** toe nails.
On top of the standard bath and ear cleaning.

I pick her up, all seems fine. When I get home I notice she limped in the kitchen.
On our short walk over (less than a block away) to our house from Dogs N Style I noticed she was walking weird but figured it was just hot on the pavement and she was eager to get home.

I check her toenails- my first suspicion is that they look like a hack job.
I literally could do better with my own nail file.
The edges were still ridiculously sharp, no consistent length, it's like they didn't even do it.
-really annoying but ok.


NOT OKAY:
My dogs back right paw is covered in dried blood AND is continuing to bleed on my floor.
I inspected her toes and one toe nail is cut SO SHORT that you can see where the blood is quickly dripping out of.
Not to mention the PAIN she feels.


If I would have know the lack of care these groomers would have for my dog- with one of the most common services as PROPERLY/SAFELY CUTTING AND FILING DOWN NAILS.
Especially considering she is a very calm dog BUT ALSO HAS WHITE TOE NAILS.

When I went back to explain why I was upset with how my dog came home- they tried to blame it on the fact that the powder stuff they use to stop bleeding must have scrapped off while she walked home on the pavement.

Yeah- the one minute walk home on pavement made my dogs whole paw covered in dried blood (glad i just spent money on her bath too.) and then the stuff that was supposed to stop her bleeding (when she shouldn't have been bleeding in the first place since THIS IS LITERALLY YOUR JOB TO PROPERLY AND SAFELY CUT DOGS NAILS.)


Sure, paying for these services that suck is one thing.
But it's not even about the money-
It's about feeling like my dog was not treated well or properly taken care of like this business claims to do.

I highly suggest you find somewhere else (I'm looking too!) that will actually care about the basic services and safety for my dog- without them having to suffer in the process.

Absolutely loved this place. Miss it terribly and wish we knew where Walter was now!!

So, I just moved in with my girlfriend (yay for me! She's wonderful), and bear with me, this is relevant. I have a tiny little Havanese pup named Fizzgig. He's delightful.

I took him into Dogs-n-Style because I got a Groupon for $25 off a service. I also brought my girlfriend's dog, who is a hoot. I got them all checked in, but then I was informed that because the dogs were from the same household, they could not accept the Groupon, and would I like to pay an additional $60 to have him groomed?

NOTE: The fine print of the Groupon indeed states "one per household" but apparently they mean one dog per household because they have no record of my girlfriend ever having used one. So despite being a new customer who had never set foot in the store before, because I lived with someone who was an existing customer, I was denied. They were rude and obstinant to boot. They lost two customers who were willing and ready to be repeat business.

So BUYER BEWARE: you may want to go through the county auditor's records to see if anyone who has ever lived at your address was ever a customer, because if that's the case, they won't accept a Groupon. They may as well exclude entire ZIP codes. Sorry 45202, you are 4520-SCREWED.

The place also smelled like feet.

I'm so glad I found Dogs-N-Style on Yelp! It was really clean and open. My Golden doodle looks great and we'll definitely take him there again!

I can't say enough how I love how amazing this place is! I recently moved to Cincinnati. I was searching for a place for my dogs to get groomed. I came across Dogs-N-Style , saw they had great reviews. I booked an appointment, got in for the day and time I requested. They were so great when I walked in the door, asked lots of questions, went over what I exactly wanted for my dogs, very detailed. I just picked up both my dogs and I am the happiest dog owner in the world! They were groomed perfect! I couldn't be more happy! I highly recommend coming here! I will forever be coming here for as long as I live here in Cincinnati.

This place is the best, and so convenient - they go above and beyond with service and a smile:) George (our dog) always comes back shiny and happy, and now has an extensive and enviable bandana wardrobe!!!

We can't walk past without George demanding to stop in and say hello to his friends at dogs n style!

I am not from the area, but found my way to Dogs-N-Style due to the great reviews on yelp. My groomer was courteous, a great listener, and friendly. She gave my dog one of the best grooming she's had in years! When I came to pick him up, he seemed happy, and I could tell that he had a positive experience. I will definitely bring Bailey back again any time I am in the area.

I get my dogs nails trimmed and filed here. The workers are always professional and take great care of my dog. I haven't used their other services and can't speak on them. But I would definitely recommend a friend for nail care.
