I found Detail Oriented on Yelp before my wedding last year.

I expected my visit to be a one-time thing...but I've been going back to see Kristy every six weeks now for more than a year.

She's the best! Not only is she friendly and great at what she does (impeccable attention to detail), but it's super clean, and my services are always very prompt--I'm able to squeeze them in over my lunch break, and I know that I'll always be in and out on time. Kristy has taken the time to really understand me/my skin, and she makes me feel super comfortable at all times.

I can't recommend Detail Oriented highly enough. Whether you're a first-timer or an aficionado, you can totally trust the Detail Oriented team with any of your skincare/waxing needs!

For almost five years, Kristy has been the only person I trust to wax my eyebrows (not to mention other delicate areas), but she does so much more than just waxing.

Recently, I've gone to her for a facial, as well as eyelash extensions, and I couldn't be happier with the results. She's such a perfectionist and she will make sure you're completely satisfied with every service. She really goes the extra mile for her clients.

She was also the make-up artist for my wedding, the most important day of my life. She made me look exactly as I envisioned: the best possible version of myself, but not with so much makeup that no one would recognize me. I just wanted to look like a blushing bride. She absolutely nailed it: glowing, dewy skin, bold lashes, and classic pink lips.

Beyond all her amazing talents, she's just a great person to be around. I will always be a loyal client of Detail Oriented, and I cannot recommend Kristy highly enough.

I've worked in and out of the salon and spa industry for over ten years now...needless to say, I've gotten a lot of facials and brow work. Firstly, I should mention Kristy gave me my first brow tint ever that didn't leave me looking like a clown for the first day. She uses a lot of precision and quality products to tailor a perfect experience. I found Kristy through a friends recommendation and I couldn't be happier. My skin still feels moisturized and clean a week later. I'll definitely be back.

Kristy is an absolute saint! After a pretty terrible brazilian & underarm wax right before my wedding, I had almost given up on waxing. I decided to give it one more shot and I am so happy that I found Kristy.

She is so easy to talk with and is super thorough, something I'm very appreciative of. What I loved about her was how passionate she is about her business and her methods of waxing, which are more complicated than you'd realize.

I don't live or work anywhere near Kristy's location and the commute is not exactly direct, but I will continue making the trip as a loyal client while I live in Chicago, because she is the best of the best!

I started going to Kristy a little under a year ago because of the great Yelp reviews I read and now I'm here to continue paying it forward. She goes above and beyond to accommodate clients and is extremely friendly (to the point that she feels like an old friend!).

I used to be a 5-minute walk from her previous location and now that she's moved she's still 100% worth the trip. Would highly, highly recommend!

I've been here a couple of times and the estheticians are really nice. I usually get an eyebrow wax and a Brazilian.

My only major complaint is that they aren't good a following up or sending reminders of appointments. We all have lives and have to schedule our time of pain 4-6 weeks to maintain. Not sure if they have more than one receptionist- but I feel it would be helpful if they did have more than one. There have been a couple of occasions when I call during business hours and no one picks up. A couple weeks ago, I had an appointment I forgot about (life happens and it would have been nice to have a reminder since I booked the appointment weeks ago)- I called back to try to reschedule the appointment. No one picked up and I left a voicemail message as well. As of this review, no one has called back. Honestly I can't waste my time with this place if I'm not going to get a response back.

The estheticians are great and personable. Just wish you were on top of sending a reminder or confirmation of appointments if we book in advance. Also may need a dedicated receptionist to pick up the phone.

Totally impressed. I typically had gone to a big company/chain wax center simply because it was close to home and convenient. Lucky for me, they were booked up, and I found Kristy/Detail Oriented on Yelp. Made an appointment with no issue, booked right on line and had the confirmation in minutes. Kristy was incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable right off the bat. Her waxing job was meticulous & not painful at all. She knows what she's doing & takes pride in her work. Usually I left the other place with some remnants of wax that pull and catch and are totally annoying... that didn't happen today at aptly named Detail Oriented! Yay! I'll happily be booking with her in the future even if it is a touch further away than I'm used to.

Detail by Kristy is the ONLY place I go to for a Brazilian wax. Her space is clean, professional and wait time is short. She is very friendly and personable. She made it very comfortable when it was as my first time. Thank you Kristy for amazing service time and time again.

Kristy deserves this and every other 5-star review she's gotten. She's friendly and professional, and she will remove every last hair (including ingrown ones) with her meticulous attention to detail (as the business name suggests). I've seen her for a variety of waxing services, including Brazilians, arms, legs, armpits, and eyebrows, and I always come away pleased with the results and impressed by her efficiency and ability to make the process relatively painless. Furthermore, the room in which she performs her services is comfortable and clean.

The prices for the services offered at Detail Oriented Waxing & Skincare are comparable to several other well-rated waxing salons in the area. Appointments are very easy to schedule online. Accepted forms of payment are credit cards and cash. New clients get 20% off their first appointment.

I've been seeing Kristy for about 9-10 months now, and I've got to say I'm never going back to life without her! I go to Kristy for waxing and lash services. I started seeing Kristy for just waxing initially, and had a great experience with her from day one. She's great at making you feel comfortable and at ease, all the while providing flawless waxing services. I visit her religiously every four weeks, and look forward to something I used to dread doing before meeting Kristy.

I got lash extensions early summer at a different place, on a friend's recommendation, and safe to say I looked utterly ridiculous. When I came in for my wax, Kristy offered to fix the work that somebody else did on my poor eyelids! She fixed up what I thought was once non-fixable, and I started to go to Kristy for my lashes from that point on. I'm only mad that I didn't visit her in the first place!

She truly goes above and beyond each and every time I visit her, and I recommend Kristy to all of my friends and family for her services.
