• First I want to state that as someone who has lived and traveled the world, I have been exposed to the very best quality salons for a long time. As a natural level 3 brunette who took Herself to level 9 blonde a few months ago( many salons wouldn’t take me directly to blonde the immediate route but rather over the lengthy ongoing process of many highlights over many months Route = too much money) As long as a salon uses Olaplex, going blonde for anyone is possible. I used the Big O when I took myself blonde but as time went on and on, re bleaching the roots was damaging to my new hair growth and breakage was happening. It didn’t help that I hadn’t had a great keratin treatment in over a year, having tried a few hair salons “ lesser harsh formulas” that rarely straightened my fine curls to lasted very long. I HaD great results with a NJ salon a year ago with the Goldwell Kerasilk Keratin treatment which has both straightened and smoothed my hair cuticle for over 6 months. Searching far and wide for a Goldwell salon to offer that was hard but this salon stayed that they were willing to order it and give it a go. Rebecca, the salon manager, had texted me after a phone call communicating a weekend special there and tried to accommodate my request for a time of ordered. I then decided I probably should have a shadow root and maybe some highlights done prior to the keratin for blond dimension and the keratin after. They only had the Coppola express in but stated it would last until the Goldwell came in. My blond frizzy hair was so desperate I agreed. I arrived to the salon and was scheduled to meet with Romwe, a fellow long haired blonde who had killer blond hair herself. That put me at ease right away because it takes a blonde sometimes to” get a blonde” regarding tone and troubles we, blondes, can run into. I had brought with me a new set of Glam Seamless extensions( they rock) which I anticipated would require a toner or change to match whatever we may need to do with my real hair. This was sort of an additional time thing even I hadn’t thought of at time of scheduling and she was fantastic with trying to fit all needs in: highlights, shadow roots , keratin AND coloring my extensions to match my final look. She had two assistants that were fantastic in assisting her so these processes could be done as quickly as possible. Olaplex 1 was added on to my color but I’m not sure if they ever used Olaplex 2 after color finished which really does SEAL in whatever bonds post color job is done to ensure color lasts and keeps health of hair. No worries, I have Olaplex 3 at home which I heard is same as Olaplex 2 but that extra step to sealing in health of hair I always feel is important as each color job is done. It’s what keeps the bonds of your hair healthy. She checked my hair color before she was going to do any toner and we both agreed it looked great. This is the one thing I wish I had natural lighting to have seen the exact shade of blonde it was then. The salon had curtains so you can only see in artificial lighting. In that light, my blonder ends appeared wheat or ashy which was what I wanted, an ashy tone, not white or silver but just not gold or orange. I have use Goldwell color in past years and their line always pulls golds and reds in me so I was nervous as a true Wella color line fan, especially for blondes. But at that moment, it seemed fine enough and the extensions were brought to see and they turned out fantastic. In fact that color was THe perfect color in tone. I just noticed the day after washing my keratin out, my real hair is more golden yellow in back and doesn’t perfectly match the extensions but I’m not terribly worried because you’re always having to tone as a blond and toning is easy to do. The getting the shadow root part right with dimension and the extensions having the shadow root to blonder ends part is Important and Romwe nailed it. Her assistant did a 15 minute scalp massage that nearly put me to sleep and I was in HEAVEN. Now as for the Coppola express keratin, I wasn’t that impressed after washing and blow drying today. Yes, it smoothes a bit but my curls are definitely there and I’d still need to flat iron my hair for a polished look and I only have fine hair. I still must do some arm work to get the polished look. I am definitely going to return to et my beloved Goldwell Keratin Smooth treatment because I know that one works at removing the curls etc. Meanwhile during my salon experience, a masseur named Asher offered to do arm and hand massages at my chair during the keratin treatment and he was fantastic. He did a great energy treatment I could literally feel throughout my body. The receptionist got some food for my 6 year old son who was waiting this entire time for his mommy to get this all done. He was thrilled. The friendliness and team work mentality of this entire staff truly impressed me while maintaining an unpretentious vibe to the overall salon. They are just all an extremely sweet staff who aim to please. Romwe was just so darling and fun to talk to and gorgeous and gracious that it felt like girlfriend time versus just a service or “ another client.” Blondes an be assured they are in great hands with her because she’s talented but also a blonde herself. I didn’t get a haircut this time so I can’t respond on that front. The prices were very fair and the talent and customer service was top notch, even better than some high end salons worldwide I’ve been to. I found that had Rebecca not been so communicative via text to help me schedule it answer my questions, I may have moved on to another salon. I was impressed by the customer service and that put me at ease to trust trying out this new salon to me. I really am so thankful to all of them for making so much happen and put my son at ease and give this single mom, a much needed break and upgrade! Thanks Dante Salon!

• I've been going to Dante's for about 15 years, and have always been pleased. What I need--men's haircut and beard trim--isn't exactly complicated, but even that can be butchered by a barber/stylist, and Adnan, who cuts my hair and beard, knows exactly what I want. Also, I praise Lydia the receptionist/scheduler to the skies. Just listening to her deal with three or four things at once on the phone while I'm in the waiting area shows how good a job she does.
