City Sweats - Wallingford

City Sweats is where I go to unplug. It's an Oasis in the middle of the City. Right when you walk in, you can feel the calm. They offer you a variety of different wellness shots, everyone speaks in a whisper, and they have a ton of different services to choose from. I've had the best deep tissue massage there and have frequently booked an infrared cabin with friends.

Not to mention, they have a sand room where you can go after your infrared session or treatment where a cup of tea and orange slice is waiting with your name. It is the best cherry on top after such a peaceful experience. I will sit there for quite some time before headed towards the shower to wrap up my appointment.

I highly recommend City Sweats if you need a day to reset or just want to invest in self-care on a more regular basis.

I love their single infrared sauna cabins--they are always clean, well equipped with towels and aromatherapy of your choice. The team is super friendly, caring and only want you to have the very best experience from the moment you arrive. I always come out feeling refreshed and feel the healing process working long after my visit.

Great spot for a sauna or message session! Amazing customer service as well. They make you feel like you're the only customer in the building! So great!

City Sweats came highly recommended, was welcoming, clean, set up well, decor was lovely, love the healthy treatment options and the relaxation room with my toes in the sand, a healthy cup of tea and a fresh clementine was the perfect way to end my visit and start the rest of my day.

To charge $45 per person for the "sweat with a friend" is insane, in my opinion. The only extra costs seem to be extra liability & extra towels. Does this really cost another whole $45??? It's potentially the same cabin & same time I would get going solo. I'm not going back.

Friendly staff, cool experience. My biggest drawback however was due to cleanliness. The towel I received had red marks / several marks on the white towel. Super unappealing. White bathroom rug was stained with dirt as well. I'd recommend using something that won't stain as easily. Trying to be as objective as possible as I do think this place has potential to be really good service if the cleanliness is up to date.

‍ Spent some time at @citysweats detoxing. I couldn't even believe how beautiful it was inside and how relaxing it was. I truly didn't even feel like I was in a city. All the stress that I had from work, traveling and just overall the hustle and bustle this immediately put me at ease. If you live in Seattle or you are going to Seattle I definitely recommend @citysweats . They have three different locations. The customer was wonderful! I felt like a Queen!
I also tried the therapeutic massage with the machine, I have never experienced that before but I sure did fall asleep at my body felt so amazing. I even started sweating in that wrap.

I typically do not leave negative reviews but my experience with City Sweats might very be one of the worst customer service experiences I have had with a company.

I signed up for what I thought was a 3 month commitment- they were not clear at all that you will continue to be charged past the 3 months. I tried for 2 weeks to get somebody on the phone to cancel my membership and potentially reimburse me for the 4th month I got charged for and never used because I had no idea I was even being charged for it. I kept getting a front desk worker who would take my information down and then tell me somebody would be contacting me, never happened. Finally I called AGAIN and got the same girl from the front desk again who remembered me calling multiple times and said I was not the only person who had complained about not getting a returned call. She gave me the personal email of her manager.

I did get a returned email this time and she said my membership was cancelled and she would look into getting me refunded for the one month. I never heard back and honestly was just taking the 4th month as a loss. Until I saw today I was charged AGAIN from my bank account even though I was told in an email my account was cancelled!

I would not recommend going here if you want to avoid the hassle of managers who do not return calls and or follow through. I am an educator who thought this would be a nice 3 month treat to treat myself at the end of a very chaos school year and instead I am 200 dollars out of services I've never gotten to use and it's been the biggest headache!

Absolutely awful experience!! I was charged for several months after I canceled a membership I can no longer use. After weeks of sending multiple emails and often being ignored (calling will only get you someone at the front desk to pass your info along to a manager) they refused to refund the hundreds of dollars taken without authorization. BE CAREFUL and check your bank statements thoroughly! Not that it will get you more than a few condescending emails when they do steal from you. I'm truly shocked at predatory and rigid policies that this "small business" uses to justify taking advantage of their patrons.

I LOVE this place. It's a unique way to engage in self-care, and super relaxing. My favorite is the infrared sauna wrap. They spray your room with aroma therapy and then you're free to lay in your warm cocoon and sleep, meditate or watch TV. Afterwards you get to go sit in a cozy and dimly lit space, with your toes in the sand! Yes, literally. They also give you an orange and either water or tea, can't remember. I am in the mental health field and have recommended this place to so many of my clients. I would go a lot more often if they expanded down into south King or Pierce County.
