• As a male, walking into a "beauty bar" it can be quite intimidating. However I can say from the moment walking in the door and being greeted by the receptionist, my experience was unlike no other. I was not only promptly welcomed, but also offered a beverage of my choice to quench my thirst and satisfied my lust for hops that my pallet desired. My wait time was non existent and once in the chair, the real experience began. From the first buzz of clippers to the last snip of the scissors I had upmost confidence in the ability of Lindsay to deliver the hair cut I wanted, nay, deserved. Coming from a "mans man barber shop" I am particular in how my beard is groomed, yet lack the confidence to trim it properly myself. Again, Lindsay met and exceeded all expectations. There was a brief gasp and increased heart rate when she first yielded the straight razor, however the skill in which she poses is unlike any other barber shop I've attended. Next came a the hair wash.. a what? That's right, a wash following the hair cut. And enter nirvana. Not one but two shampoos with a rinse and a head massage sending me straight to ecstasy. If it is possible to envision a state of complete relaxation and arousal at the same time, that may describe the feeling I experienced during the scalp massage. Add in a few slight tugs of the hair, and standing up immediately becomes impossible. Leaving the salon, I quickly realized that was the saddest part of my experience at Carve, and cannot wait until my next experience. 10/10 would recommend.
