Brazils Waxing Center - Brooklyn

My bf and I came here after losing a bet... and we both had to get a Brazilian and after much research, we decided on "Brazils Waxing Center" because it is one of the few places that also does male waxes.

It was my first time doing brazilian waxing so I was nervous as ever. However, the lady (I believe her name was Dee) who did my waxing had really good bedside manners. She explained the type of wax they would be using (hard wax) and made sure to comfort me after each time she ripped off the wax because it hurt a lot for me. (It didn't for my bf). She would tell me to take a deep breath and rip off the wax without fail each time.. I expected it but boy, I sure did not expect the initial pain once she ripped it off!

2 months have passed since I've gotten my waxing and I can say that a lot* less hair has grown back and I'm very happy with the result. I would really like to go back to Dee again for her services but definitely have to think twice and maybe take a tylenol next time...

Can I just say that Brazils Waxing Center provided me with the best waxing experience ever!

Brazils is located near downtown Brooklyn. Walking inside, I saw how nice the place is...simply beautiful and immaculate looking in the front waiting area with comfortable seats! I enjoyed sitting in one of them before being called into one of the back rooms.

Kenya kindly greeted me at the front receptionist area and had me complete a first time customer waiver form on one of their computer tablets. The curent promotion is $5 off 1/2 Leg Waxing (you can choose upper or lower legs). The waxing services I received were excellent! Nadi is funny, polite and professional. She talked with me throughout the entire time that she was conducting the waxing services and made me feel totally at ease. They use wax that hardens and then they remove it as gently as possible from your skin. They have their "Elate" organic skin care product line that one can purchase to moisturize, cleanse and protect the skin.

Brazils Waxing Center has an app you can download and use to book your appointments as well as receive discounts on upcoming waxing services. First time customers can get a Brazilian Wax for $30 (regular price $52). When you check-in on Yelp, you receive 5 percent off any of their services. Kenya gave me some waxing aftercare information that should be implemented 24-48 hours after receiving waxing services.

There truly is no comparison as I received quality service....thanks to Kenya and Nadi for ensuring that I had a great experience at Brazils Waxing Center!

I used to live in the DC area and had a wax lady that I used to go to--I was going to miss her but I needed a new place. Brazils Waxing Center is definitely my spot for waxing now. I came in for underarm waxing and had a lovely lady named Nadi work on me (she doesn't work there anymore). You know how hard it is to let go of your old spot but this one is pretty good. It is very inviting and you feel comfortable. The receptionist, Danielle is great--I've been in several times and she always gives great customer service. Also, they don't use strips, instead they used a natural wax that they put on the skin and peel off. Now, does it hurt--yes (I don't get it when people say it's painless. I've been getting waxes since 2009 and they still hurt to me.), but not anything that's not manageable.

If you're looking for a nice wax spot that provides good service and good pricing, I'd recommend Brazils Waxing Center.

I was first introduced to Brazils Waxing Center through a Yelp Elite Event and it was love at first sight. As someone with a fear of razors, I have had extensive experience with waxing salons; please trust me when I say the service you receive at Brazils will be nothing short of exemplary.

This guarantee of satisfaction is mainly attributed to three factors, the first being their proprietary wax blend that contains pine sap. It's extremely "moisturizing" and gentle-- definitely safe for sensitive/reactive skin. It's a hard wax, rather than soft (no strips involved) so it adheres to the hair and not the skin, allowing for a less messy/irritating experience.

The second factor is the skill level of the estheticians at Brazils. Not only are these ladies funny and easy to talk to, they make every appointment go by in a flash. It takes real expertise to be as gentle, efficient, and meticulous as the estheticians are here. I have never had any issues with pain during or post-appointment.

The third factor would be Brazils' commitment to cleanliness. Summer's Eve Cleansing Wipes are provided in every room and every client receives their own personal bowl of wax. Sanitizer and pre-/post-treatment lotions/gels are placed in no-touch dispensers. The staff takes every single detail into account and their level of attention to hygienic practices is truly commendable.

If you are reading reviews because you're on the fence about switching over to Brazils or thinking about trying waxing for the first time, there really is no other salon in Brooklyn like Brazils. I've successfully converted some of my friends already, and I always highly recommend this neighborhood gem.

I was lucky to experience Brazil's last year during their grand opening for Elite week and was totally impressed, giving a rating of 5 stars for their stellar service.
I was back today, my 2nd visit, and am a firm believer to review a business again outside of an Elite event.
Guess what? My opinion from last year was confirmed today: Brazil's knows how to run a business smoothly (pun intended) and effectively. I love it and guarantee you will too. Read why.

I had a 2 p.m. appointment and was warmly welcomed by Raphael who informed me that they might be running behind schedule. I was actually 20 minutes early anyway but was elated to be taken right on time.

As I was shown to my room, I observed how consistency remained part of their practise. Each room was as immaculate as I remembered last year. Cleanliness, when it is relevant to any treatment of the body, is my primary concern. I can almost deal with the rest but a business that is sloppy with their practise is a definite no go for me. Brazil's is cleaner than some doctors' offices and maybe even hospitals!

I was introduced to Jada and took an immediate liking to her. My previous review might have mentioned--their wax is made of pine sap and other natural ingredients. It hardens but remains pliable; therefore, no cloth strips are used.
On the counter were pre and post -treatment lotions and Jada walked in with my own wax kettle. No double dipping--ever. The wax is pulled off by hand.

I might have also mentioned that I happen to have a high pain threshold. However, for those who are more sensitive and squeamish, I promise you'll have a great, nearly pain free experience. I truly felt no pain and Jada was gentle and thorough. I think some areas were double waxed to ensure a longer delay in hair growth. I agree.
About 20 minutes later, I was done and feeling comfortable as though I wasn't waxed.

I highly recommend checking out Brazil's. It is, by far, the best service I've experienced. And I've been doing this for a very long time!

After the unexpected cancellation, someone reached out to me to make things right. And since I'd never had anything less than favorable to say about the actual services, I went back. The person I worked with was lovely.

I would like to keep going so I hope things will be smooth sailing from here.

This is my new go-to spot for Brazilian waxes which are an uncomfortable necessity that I have incorporated into feminine care routine. A few months ago, Babes pointed out that I haven't really been keeping up with my Brazilians like I did when we had just met. Many factors attributed with scheduling difficulties leading the list. Thankfully, the scheduling process here is pretty seamless using the link in the text reminder and over the phone.

I'm no stranger to Brazilian waxes, they are not fun but the results make them completely worth it. I highly recommend this place! I have never been as satisfied with my results and overall waxing experience as I did at Brazil's Waxing Center. Here is how this Brazilian experience was better than others:

(1) More lighting! With an unobstructed and brightly illuminated view, the chance of stray remnants of hair remaining behind was decreased to 0.

(2) More sanitary! Having hair ripped out of your skin leaves behind a breathing ground for infection and germs but their automated dispensers and individual wax pots definitely minimize those untoward effects.

(3) More conversation! I'm used to having a nice Indian lady wax me in complete silence but the estheticians here keep the conversation going throughout the entire time which actually made the experience less awkward.

In summation, my waxing experiences have been stellar maybe even slightly less painful than traditional waxes. Nadi & Kenya are go-to ladies here. Give them a try when you are in need of a wax because in addition to the above highlights the location is convenient, parking is easy and it's owned by a Black woman... all pluses!

My first visit here was through a Yelp Elite event and after that, I've become a regular. I had no idea a Waxing center was opening up just a few blocks away from my school so I'm really glad I found them as it's super convenient.

They don't have that many waxers in rotation, at this point I think I might have gotten services done from all of them but I've seen Nadi, Kenya and Jada.

I've had Nadi twice and the last two times that I got the other aestheticians were because I'd scheduled services where Nadi was unavailable. She's super funny and sweet. Kenya was also magnificent, she's beyond kind and professional. Jada I've only had once and despite everyone's great reviews on her, I didn't find her as personable as everyone else. Could've just been an off day, but she did her job thoroughly nonetheless. One thing I might mention is that both Nadi and Jada use the side technique when doing the Brazilian which I'm not a fan of.

In terms of cleanliness and sanitation, this place is spotless! It's bright open and quite sterile. Their bathroom is just as large and hygienic. Their toilet bowl is strangely square, but despite the deviant shape, it's a sizable seat lol.

Their waxing rooms are not as large as European Wax Center's but they're super clean and packed with amenities for their customers. I love the attention to detail right from the Summer's Eve packet wipes to the cover they offer for you to use as you wait bare for your waxer.

It's a no brainer as to why this place has become so popular. Their dedication to their customers and craft are unparalleled. I HIGHLY recommend checking them out for all of your waxing needs.

Ding, ding, ding!!! At long last, i have found THE spot to get a good wax! Man, oh man, did it take a long time. Like most of us on here, i've been searching for a Brazilian wax place that is 1) flawlessly hygenic, 2) in Brooklyn, 3) committed to great customer service, and 4) has a technician who genuinely cares about your sensitive areas. Brazils satisfied all 4 of those requirements for me.

Brazils has only been open for a couple months, but they've made a great first impression. It was easy to book right here following the links via Yelp. Once I arrived, Abigail at the reception desk was lovely and welcoming. As others have remarked, their facilities are clean with modern equipment like a kiosk to enter personal info and tablets in treatment rooms to reflect if the room is ready, in use, needs to be cleaned, etc. Most importantly, i'll say this again, the spot is CLEAN. No random dust or dirt in the rooms, no utensils that look like they need cleaning, no flimsy-azz paper on the treatment bed that tears as you adjust yourself on it! Even the dispensers are automatic so that the techs don't risk bacterial transfer from clients to equipment and vice versa.

i'd be remiss if i didn't shout out Melanie who's the best technician i've encountered in over 5 countries! She is friendly, has a great attitude, and you can tell she takes pride in her craft. Definitely book a treatment with her if you can. She took her time to make sure i was comfortable and that i was ultimately pleased with the waxing that was done. No wham-bam, thank you ma'am. She listened to my concerns, assured me that she was committed to taking good care, and ensured that the process was as painless as possible, while yielding smooth results. ;-)

i am so happy this place isn't far from me and with such great service. Already looking forward to my 2nd appointment!

Came here with the Yelp Elite event and really enjoyed it! When it's something so sensitive, you really worry about the quality of the place. Overall, it was a smooth process and I left a lot less worried than I had been going in, which is not something I can say about every place.

Brazils was clean, professional and their prices are comparable to others as well!

Would definitely recommend this place!
