I really thought this would be a pleasant experience, but I am disappointed with the service and astronomical prices. I typically do gel on my hands and feet so I expected to pay at least $100 with a full set. I left there after 3.5 hours and spent $152 not including tip. I didn't get anything special other than a design on 2 nails. I expect my nails to be perfect at these prices, yet I have acrylic left on my nuckles! Yes I am disgusted. I didn't complain about it because I was ready to go. To top it off, the so called "pretty chairs" that you sit on are very uncomfortable. I had to ask for a pillow after the first hour of slow service. No wonder this place is empty. The pedicure chairs look like throwns but they do not give you a massage. After sitting there for hours, you will definitely feel like you need one!
They try to justify their prices by telling you that they don't re-use anything and that they are so clean, yet I saw them walk outside and throw the acetone from soaking my nails in the grass outside near the tree! So you claim to be clean, but you poison the environment!
I will not return. If I got my eyebrows done, who knows what they would have tried to charge me.

Hi Michelle,
Thank you so much for visiting today and sharing your experience. I apologize that you feel the treatment was overpriced and more than your used to spending and that you feel 3.5 hours was too long to be in the spa. I wanted to take a moment to let you know the treatments you requested all take time in order to properly remove the product and to care for your natural nail. Which is our priority.
For reference, here are the services you requested and their approximate durations :
Gel polish removal from feet: 15 mins
Classic Pedicure + gel polish application: 45 mins + add 20 mins
Removal of artificial nails: 30 mins
New Acrylic Full set: 1 hour 30 mins
Gel Polish add on: 20 mins
Nail Art ombre on 2 fingers approx: 10-15 mins
That is over 3.5 hours of requested treatments.
As our nail technicians explained to you during your treatment, we take care and caution when removing artificial products from the nails. It may not be the fastest way or what you were accustomed to but it is the safest way. We do not take shortcuts to take more clients in.
For our returning clients, we do not charge for gel removal that is complimentary service. Only for first time clients we charge as we are not certain what products have been used previously. Furthermore, we do not use MMA or any illegal acrylic powder mixes which many salons do and are able to cure the acrylic faster to get people in and out quicker and offer lower prices. We use one of the best acrylic lines and our lotions, scrubs, oils, are all paraben free, have added vitamins and minerals and never tested on animals.
The chairs are not regular pedicure chairs you are accustomed to because those have whirlpool jets that harbor bacteria in the pipes and cannot be disinfected properly. We use a porcelain ceramic bowl and disinfect after each use. I apologize if the chairs were not comfortable. We do have a pillow on each one to add some comfort. They have now created ones with massages in them and I am looking to change them in the near future!
Yes, we use the highest level of sterilization and sanitation methods that are incomparable to other salons in the area. We know for sure because many clients come to use and tell us they have caught fungus from other local salons.
Regarding the salon being empty, we schedule based on clients requests and alott a sufficient amount of time for each client. We are usually busy on the weekends and have long wait times so if the salon was empty consider yourself lucky! :-)
I am not sure what you are referring to someone pouring acetone on the grass. We have a specific procedure to dispose properly of acetone. Also we care very much about the environment. We use ethical standards and partner with a company that plants a tree for every product we sell. We have lines of polishes that are cruelty free, vegan, and eco friendly for those clients that are interested.
I thank you for your visit. I see you drove quite a bit to get to us. We appreciate that so much! We get clients from all over the DMV area. I hope that you will reconsider sometime and give us another try.
Best,
Tami - Kia M.Washington, DC88132311Sep 11, 2018
My daughter didn't want to do much for her birthday so I thought taking her to this cute salon would be nice. We had a 2:00 appointment on a Sunday for gel manis and pedis. We arrived on time and were serviced right away! Possibly because the salon was completely empty (I was sort of surprised).
We picked our colors and sat in the pedicure chairs. We were offered a drink and a snack (trail mix)...not sure if they have other options for ppl with nut allergies but that's something to consider. We got the pedicures with the lavender scrub. My tech nicked me during the pedicure so I was in a bit of pain. However, she was VERY apologetic, she felt really bad but...I saw it coming. Next were the manis, which, we loved as well. Both of our techs took their time and did a really great job.
The reason for the 3 stars is the choice of music (explicit rap), the nick (my toe still hurts), and towards the end, I was looking around and noticed how dirty the floors were...there was so much dust and hair everywhere and you could tell that it's been there for a while. This is a cute and classy salon...the music and cleanliness should reflect that.
UPDATE: Less than a week and the polish on my nails and toes have chipped. The polish on my daughter's thumb has come completely off. I could see if this was regular polish but it's GEL! So disappointed in this place, def not worth it!Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Aug 11, 2018
Don't get fooled by the cute decor and the few positive reviews. This place is a ripoff.
My friend and I were looking to go somewhere not to just get our nails done, but to be pampered so she had mentioned seeing the beautiful interior in the past, and we both agreed we should give it a try.
The salon is quite spacious with whites and pastels throughout most of the place, while the pedicure chairs look majestic with white and gold.
Upon entrance we were somewhat greeted. We quickly picked our colors and they started on our pedicures. While they were working on our pedicures, they brought out warm pillows for our neck, watermelon lemonade and rose macarons. The macarons were hard and anyone who loves macarons, knows that's a huge no-no.
The girl working on my pedicure, cut me twice and still didn't clean the cuticles properly. And she was suuuuper slow! Because of her slow pace, my friend was moved for a manicure way ahead of me and she was done with it while mine was only halfway done. Don't even get me started on the manicure! Bedsides once again being cut, the manicure looked absolutely horrible. I had to fix it myself at home so it could look somewhat presentable (you can see my pictures).
Now comes the best part: I was cut, they took forever, my nails looked terrible at the end, but I was still charged $72 for a REGULAR mani/ pedi! Never again.
The decor is beautiful and that's about it. The reason I'm giving them 2 stars and not one is because the girls working on us - while they shouldn't be nail technicians - they were quite friendly. I think at the end of the day, it's up to the owner to make sure they offer a service worth paying for and clearly this owner doesn't care.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jasmine G.Washington, DC23331Dec 5, 2017Updated review
The decor is literally everything I am obsessed with! I really liked this salon. Everyone was very nice and Chi did an AMAZING job! She seemed very knowledgeable and skilled about how to do any design imaginable. I have been searching for someone to do gold foil nails for me and Chi delivered! Below are my nails. I am obsessed with them. Had to have perfect nails before my trip to Paris. I will be returning to Beaute Nest when I return! Only con is it is a little pricey....but definitely makes up for in quality.
UPDATE....My nails look like this 4 DAYS later! Paying $80 for nails to look like this is NOT WORTH IT.
****Update again....a week and 3 days later the majority of my nails fell off! Ive traveled numerous times and had light colored nails multiple tomes and never has my nails turned a disgusting brown color and 4 fallen off within a week!!!! Maybe after a full two weeks but only a week? Its like I threw $80 in a trash can by going to this spa. This is soooo disappointing! The salon is absolutely beautiful and the people were nice but I think I may go elsewhere for my nails. Maybe Ill come back for a pedicure but that will be it.Helpful 20Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Jasmine!
Thank you so much for your amazing review! We are so happy you loved your nails but are saddened to hear after your travels your nails got stained. As you know anything white or light color is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing but needs extra care to maintain the beauty. From your photos I am almost certain this is color transfer. Whether it's from clothing or newly dyed hair or just from your travels, it's very easy to pick up staining. We like to remind our clients that like anything of light color such as white, ombré or matte requires after care. I know you were super excited about your nails when you left for Paris so I am saddened to see this happened while on your trip since we were not close to redo them for you!! We would be happy to offer a polish change or freshen up the ombré upon your return. Please give me a call when you get back to the states.
Take care and have a safe flight back!

Extremely disappointed in the customer service and the quality of hair I received from the stylist Kyla. I spent days crying about this situation and Kyla didn't give a rats A!!! Kyla is the owner of Kingkyhair and it is by far worst quality of hair I have ever received! For almost 300 dollars and countless appointments she canceled I am appalled by the quality of hair and the lack of professionalism and customer service to make the situation right. After only two weeks of having the hair it was completely matted and unsalvageable :( Kyla nor the owner Tami did anything to make it right. So buyers BEWARE!!! this place may say high quality but don't be deceived like I was and be out hundreds of dollars

First time customer at Beauté Nest & I will definitely be coming back! The salon is so cute & stylish, but most importantly CLEAN!!! The staff was super friendly & accommodating. I was indecisive, but they helped me go over various options & what would be the best fit for me.
I can't say enough good things about this salon!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jasmine F.Alexandria, VA285419Dec 28, 2017
I've been looking for a new nail salon and I stumbled upon this chic salon and let me say, the interior design is just beautiful. But it doesn't stop at the visuals, the customer service and the cleanliness of the space is top notch! The team there is so helpful and it's evident that they are passionate about their craft.
I was serviced with my drink of choice as well as a warmed herbal neck wrap to relax me as I got my gel manicure. The owner, Tami, pleasantly spoke with me on the cleanly processes and services they provide as well as some tips for when I come back in the future.
Cleanliness is #1 and it's relieving to see a salon practice what they preach. This is definitely going to be my pampering go-to! Great job ladies!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Liz M.Fort Washington, MD61916Mar 4, 2018
Beaute Nest is a true experience in pampering. First off, the decor is absolutely stunning - a beautiful, frilly, elegant, oasis. The team here provide impeccable customer service - they are warm, inviting and provide a spa like experience to their clients.
I am very picky about my nails and my go to manicurist Chi does a wonderful job; she is also a pure delight. I consistently get compliments m on my nails. Beaute Nest has a great selection of crystals, and nail colors in a multitude of finishes. They also carry the Eminence skincare line and after consulting with the esthetician, I picked up the Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant with Lactic Acid and the Calendula oil; this have made a significant improvement in my skin and are now a permanent addition to my skincare routine.
I live in MD, and will gladly continue to make the drive to Beaute Nest!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mariam N.Arlington, VA2517970May 3, 2019
As much as I wanted to write a good review I cannot. I really do my best to support small businesses but I also take pride in writing honest reviews. If you work hard for your money, then do not come here to get your nails done. I have gotten my nails done (pedi and gel mani) in various places around Northern Virginia for an average cost of $50 for that service. Beaute Nest charged me $74!!! and no nothing they did was worth the extra $24 bucks. It is very clear that they upcharging due to their decor but I also know that nice decor doesn't mean customers will let you upcharge!
Also, they only have 2 technicians working on Sunday. When the girl was doing my gel nails, she would not turn on the lamp again after it went out (unlike the other places I went to)!
Their only saving grace is their vast selection of nail polish from various brands (including luxury ones) but that doesn't matter since those aren't the ones they use for gel!
I think everyone should at the very least look at the pictures but trust me nothing more was given to me for the extra $24 bucks they charge. I'm still blown away that they charge more than the nail salons in the heart of NYC and DC.
If they bring down their prices and get more technicians to handle weekend traffic I might check this place out again. But for now I have no plans of coming back.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
