Acupuncture is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine which is an ancient system of healing. It is a holistic approach, addressing the person on many levels. Its foundation is based upon balancing the meridians, or energetic pathways in the body, that are believed to circulate the qi or life force energy. Acupuncture addresses common health issues such as: back and joint pain, headaches, anxiety and depression, hormonal transitions and stress. Very fine stainless steel needles are used and inserted at specific locations along the body. Upon first insertion of the needles, the client may feel a slight tingling sensation or dull ache. Some may experience a deep sense of relaxation. Other modalities such as massage, gua sha, and cupping may be incorporated during a session. Herbal recommendations may also be made, if applicable.

Working with gravity instead of against it, Ashiatsu therapists are able to provide a deep and effective therapeutic massage without causing discomfort to themselves or the client. More pressure with less discomfort during and after your treatment. Ashiatsu relieves chronic pain and tension, frees up bundled nerves, increases circulation, stretches the spine, improves body posture and creates a higher sense of balance within the body, deep relaxation and wellbeing. Parallel bars are used above the massage table for balance, support and client safety. Includes hot towels and basic essential oils.
