Established in 2013. In 2012, owner Brandi Robertson gave up the tanning bed due to the negative side effects of UV tanning. With that being said, she couldn't find a place to get a great spray tan and in may of 2013 Tan&Lash was born. She spent over a year looking for the best solution product on the market, went to several conventions, and received a certificate in Colorology, Master Spray Technique, and Contouring. Today She practices out of her home, but is in search of moving to a brick and mortar by the start of 2017! Eyelash Extensions began in November 2013 after finding the market to be lacking. Brandi is trained in Classic and Volume techniques with 4 certificates from some of the best lash artists in the United States, and is the only lash technician within 40 miles to offer Russian Volume lash extensions. Brandi takes pride in her work, and excels in continued education and customer satisfaction. Lashes, Tanning, and waxing are the only services offered, with plans to expand in 2017!

Jane H.Chicago, IL639Aug 18, 2023Updated reviewI just wanted to say that, as I'm trying to cut back on my budget, I went into BASE Spa & Wellness to cancel my membership and buy product with what money I've paid that I have banked up and they said I would have to pay almost $150 in discounts I've received during this past year. Just wanted to let everyone know that this is how they treat their long-time customers. Lame.

I went here to get my eyelashes filled, I had gone to previous places before but decided to come to Base because of location. The girl who did my lashes was super sweet but my lashes lasted 3 days before pretty much all of them fell out when they usually last a month for me. The service was also incredibly expensive for getting a lash fill and didn't last. When I called the best she could give me was 15% off the next service. Not happy at all with my results or situation.

This makes my eyes pop. Erica was the best! I have anxiety and she was great at making the entire procedure so relaxing! I will recommend tan & lash to everyone! I might try cryotherapy next!

I got a lash lift and tint by Raquel Esposito for the first time and she did amazing!!! I will be booking a session for microblading with her next!

Went here for henna on brows. The shape and color turned out great however as a first time customer there and never having my brows done before the staff was lacking as far as information goes. I get there fill out my first visit paperwork and the girl calls me - doesn't introduce herself at all. I go get in her chair and tell her I have never had this before - she says nothing. No explanation about the procedure what to expect or aftercare , I had to ask all the questions myself.

Hi Shannon. My name is Brandi and I own Tan & Lash. I wanted to start off by apologizing. I’m sorry you felt a lack of communication at our place of business. I also want to apologize that it took me a bit to respond with the holiday season being our busiest time.
I was actually there the day of your service and we exchanged smiles as you were exiting the building. While I was not present in the room during your service, I did get a chance to speak with your service provider after reading your review about your time with her and her side of the event to discuss how we can improve based on your feedback.
While I am happy your brows turned out great, I am upset you felt it was not up to your standard. My staff is taught to introduce themselves, ask what you know about the service if any, the occasion you may be getting the service for and if there are any questions that can be answered prior to beginning; your staff provider Kylee remembers your colleagues being really excited you were getting your brows done, and that you may have been confused between a tattoo brow service and henna which she clarified. She also remembers handing you an after care card and going over it with you and an invitation to our open house. She does not remember if she introduced herself, and unfortunately with the small lobby and awkward layout of our current space it is sometimes difficult to talk over people, make sure you’re not too loud, and maneuver through the space without being disruptive of others. While that is not an excuse I hope you will accept my apology and know we are working at fixing the issue.
While I cannot know who is right, and am not accusing you of being wrong, I do know the description of our services are well defined on our website which it appears the route you too when booking online, and the aftercare cards we send home are designed with love and thought to help you maintain your investment with us.
On a lighter note we are moving to make any and all experiences with us more streamline from arriving and introduction to checking out and leaving. We really appreciate your feedback and would love to see you at our new location and hear your feedback again. We open there next Friday which is the day of our open house if you care to stop by from 6-10pm at 442 N Calumet Rd. Just 3 minutes north from our current location. We hope to see you again soon!

I got a very through & natural looking spray tan along with a brow tint with shape. My mom who can't sit still for 20 seconds was totally content for more than an hour while getting her eyelashe extensions. l already plan to go back for eyelash perm & tint for Halloween. Just a note it's in a building with several other small businesses so just walk towards the back after entering the lobby & you'll be sure to find it.

Brandi is a PRO and always chooses the best color for my skin...I never look orange or fake. Her products smell way better than the crap at usual tanning places and it lasts almost twice as long. Plus she's the sweetest girl on the planet and always keeps it professional. GO SEE HER NOW!!! Her prices are incredible for the quality service you'll get.
