Great service and lovely space. Quite a few different rooms such as saunas, steam rooms, salt room, and rest areas. You can bring your own water bottle but if you need refill or forgot, there's water fountains. They offer other service like treatments and massages, and they sell products too. Nice parking space underground. Best to book by phone as sometimes the online system messes things up. Definitely will be going back again!

The sauna itself is deeply relaxing and wonderful but the front staff service is consistently terrible. Booking is an unfortunate nightmare, both online and by calling in. The receptionists will lie about availability if they are too stressed to take the time to book you in. It seems they either need more reception staff, or more professional people to fill the role.

I visited the Art of Sauna a few months ago to use their saunas.
Booking my appointment was not seamless nor too difficult. Some of the confusion may have been from covid protocols and/or language barriers.
I was pleasantly surprised upon arriving at the sauna. I had heard and read mostly good things, and was looking forward to relaxing and rejuvenating myself. The check-in was quick and once my payment was processed(approx. $50 for two hours of sauna/steam room use), I was off to the changing rooms. Lockers, showers and towels are all included.
The men's changing room was clean and well laid out. Enough said - on to the saunas! You'll find eight unique saunas and steam rooms to suit almost every preference. From the traditional - Roman Steam Room and Turkish Hammam to the modern - Eucalyptus Steam - you're in for a treat. It's completely up to you how long you stay in each room - personally, I wanted to try each and every one!
If you're really overheating OR want to take things to the next level, in between each room you can pull a lever and take a cold water bucket plunge. This is not something I indulged in!
I was a little disappointed that on my visit a few of the rooms were closed for maintenance. Things happen, so hopefully on the next visit this won't be the case.
Helpful hints : bring your own refillable water bottle and a change of clothes. Parking is free underground. Keep an eye on the clocks around the facility. Once checked in, you have two hours on the dot - you'll be locked out of your locker if you overstay your welcome!
I enjoyed my visit and would definitely go again.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Cameron B.Burnaby, BC01May 13, 2023
Staff canceled a booking even though we called the day before the appointment to confirm the appointment with their staff.
It was 'canceled' before I called them apparently, so why couldn't they tell me? Ruined Mother's Day.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Whitney W.Burnaby, BC02Sep 22, 2022
I have been to AOS many times for different spa treatments and just to use the saunas. I have never been disappointed.
The facility is beautiful. There are 8 different saunas and steam rooms from different cultures. The staff is always friendly and easy to deal with. They use wonderful high quality skincare products and it smells amazing.
It's a hidden gem.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andreea A.Marina del Rey, United States15211Feb 22, 2023
Horrible! Horrible! In the spa it smells like pee! All the humid saunas were horrible! The only highlight was the massage, the rest extremely bad smell! Don't go! Or go only for massage

It's been a great replacement (since Covid hit) to the community pool, sauna, hot tub & gym I've been going to for yrs.
Really nice Steam rooms, tile work is Brilliant & all the steam rooms are a little different, it's really great. All the Sauna's are excellent as well.
There's a Finnish dry sauna with some salt walls, very good for you and another dry sauna next to that and in the lower area there's a Russian wet sauna, pour some water on the rocks and steam it up a bit.
Theres a Himalayan Salt room,
its really relaxing.
I fall asleep laying there every time lol.
I've had great treatments here, you get an hr treatment and then 2 hrs of the steam/sauna rooms included.
It's a great way to say I love you to your body!!
Your body will love you back.
Seriously check this out you won't regret it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 2, 2019
This place is horrible (amazing). It's dirty (spotless) and smelly (ahh herbs) and you should not go. Please stay away. The staff is rude (super novel) and the steam is icky (ahhhhh) and the pricing is ridiculous(holy shit that is such an amazing value). It's just awful so please stay away (because I don't want it to get stupid busy). If you do decide to go, do NOT tell your friends because really it's embarassing that you'd want to do this (screw everyone, I'm moving in)
If you've gotten this far and realized that I've given it a five star review.. well good for you! This place is like Sparkling Hill bit a fraction of the price and less than 10 minutes from my house. I'm calling it the best kept secret in the lower mainland. We went during the day on a Friday and it was not busy but not empty.
As my first foray into the wild baby free, it was freaking awesome and Imma gonna be a regular now.
But please don't spread the word. I don't want it to get too damn busy.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - Craig O.Toronto, ON2112010Mar 29, 2022
This is a special place. An oasis of escape in the center of the city. Prices are fair and amenities are of the highest standard. Eat first, and enjoy.

Pretty awesome for $35 for 2 hours of detox and relaxation. I heard about this place from a close friend of mine. Since it's 5 minutes away from my place, I thought why not. I went online and saw that 2 hours to use the saunas were only $35, what a deal I booked myself an appointment online and came several weeks after. I came on a Monday morning slow, maybe 7 other people there. Which was so nice not having to be in a cramped sauna. Very clean. You're given a locker and towels to use. Robes and slippers are extra cost or bring your own. Extra tip: bring your own water bottle, several water station around, a book to read lots of relaxing seating areas.
The saunas: There is about 7 saunas, from dry to wet, heat also different ranges. I really enjoyed myself. I thought the 2 hours was plenty of time to enjoy and also relax all the different saunas and facility. Only down side I felt like the reception at front didn't really explain how to use or gave me a tour of the place since it was my first visit. I did mention it was my first time, where do I go. She pointed to the women's bathroom and told me that the sauna's are around the corner. I'm pretty familiar with saunas but I didn't know about some of the different types such as the Russian Banya and or Turkish Hamamam. I wish I had more info. Before entering the saunas there is some helpful information. This was helpful I guess. They also offer massages, scubs and so on. Free parking underground. Overall, it was inexpensive, clean and I got what I came for and was satisfied and I will be back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
