I started my hair journey at Ardor & Grit in October 2024 with Kenzie and I haven't skipped a single month since. I was doing my roots at home. It was getting so ridiculously expensive in Grand Rapids, where I was living. Kenzie understood exactly what I wanted and then offered better ideas on to the plan. My hair always looks great. No fading, no brassy pieces, and my cuts are perfect. Just enough off here and there. I couldn't be happier! For context on my color, I'm a mature woman with stubborn gray hair. I keep it in the brunette shades. Highlights every 6 months maybe. Kenzie has never missed the mark covering those grays. I feel like I can show Kenzie any picture and I'll have that hair when I leave.

It's also in a great location and it's very comfortable. Everyone makes you feel welcome.

This was my first visit as I'm new to the area. I was very impressed with the customer experience that I had! They are kind and friendly. Abby listened to my unique situation and took her time to come up with the best solution for my hair and the look I wanted. The prices are reasonable. I also loved that they have Bible verses sporadically around the salon. Something I wish more businesses would do.

This is a beautiful sweet clean atmosphere and the stylist is amazingly creative and does an excellent excellent job! She listens carefully to what I'm hoping for with my hair! I love this place and I will definitely be back!

Every time I go into the salon I feel so welcomed and a part of the family. Sarah and the rest of the team always take their time doing your hair and make sure you leave the salon with what you wanted. I show a pic, she tells me if she can make it happen and always does! She's very real with you. I wanted to go blonde and it took time and a few sessions from brunette and now my hair is perf. They never pressure you to buy their products as some salons do. I usually just ask what I should get or what they recommend. They also have a new rewards system, so even better! The first pic is my natural dark hair. The second is from how it's been growing out over two years plus color. It's possible to do both!

I've been getting my hair cut and colored here since they opened. Sarah has always done a great job. She takes the time to consult at each appointment, making sure we're on the same page. I've had Cara cut my hair as well. There is a great team of women here and I've been thrilled with the service I've received.

Well to start, I had heard so many great things about the ladies of Ardor + Grit. I'm very picky about who gets to groom what on me so I just had to give it a try. Let me tell you... boy did they deliver the sweets. I can't get over the look on the inside. It's so chic with the pink neon and everything! After the staff was finished giving me that greaser style hair cut that is so sought after they graciously massaged my hair and washed it out. They placed the moist steamy towel over face so I could catch some afternoon zzz's 30 minutes later I woke up feeling fresh to death. Always tip these ladies! They deserve every penny!
