I had my facial and microdermabrission with Susie today, it was great experience. She was fun to talk and so knowledgeable, and what i love about her was that she wasn't forcing me to sell their products unlike most of other salons and spas.
The atmosphere was clean and relaxing. I went with Groupon but will definitely go back to them for more services. Thanks Susie and thanks Groupon for introducing this place to me! :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kerry S.Seattle, WA1459Apr 20, 2011
I purchased the Groupon for laser hair removal at Ambrosia. The laser hair removal itself went fine, and all of the aestheticians I had were professional in performing the actual services.
My gripe with Ambrosia has more to do with the customer service. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the customer service was just off.
First of all, the waiting area is almost nonexistent and the magazine choices are pamphlets for services and trade magazines-- not exactly fantastic reading. Second, the aesthetician would come out and whisper to the receptionist about whether I had arrived yet, when I was 5 feet away. It was just odd.
Finally, they must train their staff to interact with you in a sugary sweet way. I felt like they were talking to me in the voice people often reserve for small children and small dogs-- I am neither.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Janis H.Kirkland, WA12311855Jun 18, 2009Updated review
I can't say enough good things about this place and the staff, even after a year!
I have always wanted to be able to go make-up free (as in no foundation) but my skin was so bad there was just no way. However, today I only wear a mineral sunscreen thanks to Ambrosia.
That is a really big deal and makes every penny spent there worth it.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0May 27, 2008Previous reviewI am a big advocate of a healthy lifestyle being the basis for healthy skin...but I have still had my struggles over the years even with my fit life as a trainer. For my work I was asked to do photos and a video on an extremely short schedule. Of course, with the stress of it all my skin started misbehaving. I recognized the problems on my face would interfere with my project. In complete desperation I decided to see what a MedSpa is and what it could do for me.
Wow was I amazed! Bridgette helped me determine the best course of action with my short time frame as well as the most cost effective approach. I had a photofacial done that same day. Before leaving, Bridgette made sure that I looked my best and powdered my face. I was so appreciative of the fact that I did not have to rush back home to redo my makeup!
Awhile back I visited another spa in Kirkland, kind of a yoga/holistic/ease joint which I thought might give me a healthy and natural treatment. Well I guess it was natural, but that pinch-faced old biddy chastized me for the condition of my skin. She actually said I had craters in my face (some mild acne scars) and made me feel so awful that I never wanted to visit another 'spa' again.
So I was a little fearful when I first walked in the door...but by the end of the hour I was truly at ease with Ambrosia.
What is more important, is by not making me feel bad I am more motivated to care for my skin properly. I have just done a heavenly microdermabrasion with Bridgette and Deb touched up another threat to my photo shoot with a reasonably priced cortisone shot.
My skin looks and feels great, radiant even-- doing exactly what Bridgette said would happen and healing up the problems beautifully. Oh yeah, and those craters? What craters? - Karen O.Everett, WA6413055Feb 12, 2015
I am a frequent spa-goer, and Ambrosia was a very pleasant experience.
When I arrived, there was a person ahead of me occupying the receptionist, but a friendly Esthetician came out and offered to check me in.
I began my paperwork in a pleasant consultation room, where my Esthetician asked me what my skin goals were. She was extremely nice and not pushy at all.
I loved my treatment! She used Eminence products, which I had only experienced a few times before, but I loved all the scents of everything. My Esthetician was very knowledgable and was good at letting me know what she was doing.
Two complaints: one, my esthetician used an extractor tool on me for my extractions. It hurt realllly bad (My eyes were watering like crazy) and the results of it weren't any better than when I am extracted by an Esthetician using gloved hands and no tool. Also, I have red marks on my face, (I'm sure they'll be gone by tomorrow) but when I've been extracted without tools, I never experience that.
Two: The music was kind of funny...like aggressive violin and piano. But that certainly isn't a deal breaker.
Overall, the facility is beautiful, the service was outstanding, and the prices are fair. Definitely give them a try!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Ambrosia is a brand new med spa in Juanita Village. By nature, I'm opposed to these types of places on principle alone. "Swinging by for some Botox" is creepy to me. Maybe my tune will change in 25 years, who knows.
However, with gift certificate in hand, I booked an appointment for a Classic Facial with Bridget, gritting my teeth at the $95 price tag.
Ambrosia is decorated in hues of purple. A little too "grape" for my taste, but the place is brand new, and sparklingly clean, so points for that. The front desk seemed disorganized. The paperwork was incorrect, and the technician didn't know how to work the computer once the receptionist stepped away. However, since the place is new, I'll cut them some slack.
The facial was probably on of the most relaxing 60 min. I've ever spent. Great neck and scalp massage, soothing mask, steam treatment and she even powdered me afterwards so I could go back to work. I had to drag myself off the table at the end I was so relaxed!
My skin looked refreshed afterwards, and my laugh lines were definitely softer. However, if I choose to go back, it will be for the relaxation element, rather than the vanity aspect. It's worth at least one visit to Bridget, even at $95 a pop.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Joanna J.Tacoma, WA62411Oct 8, 2014
My review services from 2009-2011. I was a spa member for two of these years. Meaning I paid a monthly membership price and received a microderm or facial monthly plus other discounted services and botox.
I LOVE this place! The staff was amazing! They always remembered everything about me and acted like a good friend. They were so helpful and always made me look my best. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a med spa. Their prices are reasonable and their touch and services are amazing!
I MISS this place! I moved to San Diego two years ago and am still searching for a good med spa. :-( HELP!?Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Alison S.Seattle, WA318Aug 27, 2009
I did a lot of research before going with Ambrosia. Bridget and Marcy were key in my decision to go with this med spa over the others I had contacted. They answered my questions, gave me the information I needed to compare Ambrosia with other places, and are so friendly and approachable.
I've had laser hair removal and microderm abrasion thus far, and I'm actually looking forward to my next appointments. I've had laser hair removal in the past, but none of my past experiences were as good as the one at Ambrosia. Marcy was precise and informative. She has a process that she follows that lets you know she is being thorough and you are getting the best possible treatment.
If you have any doubts about where to go for laser hair removal, look no further than Ambrosia.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sofi H.Kirkland, WA1521Mar 29, 2011
4 star for the aestheticians actually doing the services (i've only been to 2 people but they've both been good).
1 star for the front-desk staff. Unfortunately I don't have the name of the girl I spoke to, I think it started with a C...completely rude and unprofessional, talking with an "i-don't-really-give-a-S%#@!- what-you're-saying" attitude.
And this is after I've been going there for over 6 months!! Talk about treating your clients properly. As soon as my pre-paid package is done, I will definitely not be going back. There are a ton more medspas in the the area with just-as-accomplished clinicians and front desk staff with the decency and intelligence to treat clients with courtesy.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Monique W.Bellevue, WA06Feb 27, 2016
PRO's
Susie gave me one of the best facials I have ever had. She explained everything and was very professional. I looked great when it was done and she even sent me a follow up email to check on me. FANTASTIC
Con's
The receptionist was horrible. It was impossible making an appointment and when I gave her my groupon she acted as if it was the worst thing on earth. Makes me embarrassed to use it! She was so rude and I could not believe this person is in customer service. Tip: make appointments online since being on the phone with her is definitely
a burden on her as wellHelpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Monique! My name is Stacie and I am the owner of Ambrosia. I apologize it took me a few days to get back to your feedback. I am appalled and mortified that any of my staff would ever treat anyone with anything less then enthusiasm or respect. We ran Groupons to introduce new clients such as yourself to the staff and services we offer and although I am pleased that you enjoyed your service with Susie, it is absolutely unacceptable for you to feel embarrassed or that you were burdening anyone when you called. Her job is to make sure that you have a great experience from the time you call to the time you leave and any time thereafter. I will be sure to address this immediately. I do hope you will come back and see us despite the poor customer service you received. My sincere apologies!! UPDATE: Receptionist has been replaced!! Our new manager is amazing! Hope you see we take these things seriously!
