Fantastic curriculum , Wonderful teachers , great spaces , the only place in LA that creates a real, safe , excellent instruction for basic ballet for those who are over 18- 90 years. Align caters to all levels and gives as much love and care to those just beginning to those who are experienced and professionals in pointe. It is one of my favorite activities and forms of exercise and has reshaped my body, my balance and sense of overall gracefulness

Align Ballet Method is one of the best adult ballet companies I have ever had the pleasure to be a part of. The instructors are wonderful, each with their own style of teaching, helping students with corrections, and encouraging their various classes through positive reinforcement. I recently relocated to Los Angeles from San Francisco where I danced daily with another wonderful ballet company. I relocated here on my own, so I am so incredibly thankful that I decided to get out there, get involved and find a ballet company here in L.A. Now I attend classes with them regularly, and love this company, the community it fosters, the lovely environment which helps its dancers safely and proactively learn and develop their bodies, minds, and confidence as dancers. Zoe is a very patient teacher. I have directional dyslexia and haven't told anyone, and she has been very careful and sweet the whole time-- helping me with the steps and barre directions. The way the workshops are formatted are also really helpful for me. I like that they are step by step and build on each other because I'm a slow learner, and it helps to have specific goals to reach (I don't like open class format; too hard for me to follow along). Having class early on Sunday works with my schedule, too. The Downtown dance studio has also been really awesome, and I'm now friends with the owner and I like the location.

I have had an Excellent experience at Align. Grace is a Wonderful teacher . She is patient , detailed, kindly and very aware of accommodating where a student is in their development . She has great empathy and while she is serious she helps the student keep it light as well as catching what could be a unhelpful habit right away. It is the only studio in LA I know of that properly teaches and addresses the different levels of balllet skill. I had gone to many places which were all lovely in a different way but Align was the Only school that really attends to a true beginner of older age who sincerely wants to learn basic and beginning ballet ( and of course all the way to shaping a professional or classes for those who have danced at the highest level). I also took ballet to help strengthen certain parts of my body coming off of an injury and to Learn to use my body with more balance , greater overall connectedness and get out of the habit of overusing the same muscles. I have absolutely achieved what I wanted and a huge plus to that is I look longer , leaner , more proportional , move with greater ease and smoothness.

These classes fill a major gap! Up until now, I have never been able to find a ballet class that was truly geared for adults. Most "adult" classes are filled with older teens and young adults. I danced as a child and young woman, but as an adult couldn't find anything. I'm so grateful to have found Align!
