Is this location still open? I purchased a massage online but then had no option to schedule an appointment. I've attempted calling four times, all of which have been disconnected, and there's no email address.

I just make an appointment on Sunday for my wife. I hope this massage will help her to relieve stress. Is there any thing should her to do it before this appointment?
A:
Ask questions of the massuese. What to expect from 1 session. Should wife have a weekly session v. just 1. Relay what wife is hoping as a result of massage. Be proactive about what you are doing instead of reactive.

I was not satisfied with my treatment. I felt my therapist did not listen to any of my requests and just rubbed versus massaged. the facilities were subpar. I will not be coming back.

This was the best massage I've had since moving to Alexandria two years ago. Reyna was my massage therapist. She was very professional and took time to ask about what I was looking for in my massage. I felt very relaxed and at ease with her.
The staff was friendly and kind. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming. I will definitely be returning.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Yolanda G.Alexandria, VA5820Apr 2, 2025

Friendly and professional staff that went above and beyond for my care! Matthew was great and had good advice. The front receptionists are very kind and helpful! I picked up a premade epson salt and it was lovely too!

Everyone was friendly and helpful. The massages were excellent. I chose a 9 instead of a 10 just because I would have loved some aroma scents while having the massages. We will definitely return

It was my first time at Alexandria Massage Therapy. I like this place a lot. Everything is spotless and cozy. I had an excellent relaxing massage from Reyna. Reyna was very professional and detailed. She took time to ask about preferences and focus areas. Usually, I have a problem to relax. With Reyna, I relaxed completely and fell asleep. I felt very well-rested after the session. Definitely I will be back.

I want to preface by saying I really didn't want to leave this review. I understand how difficult it is to make money in the wellness field, but this was just really frustrating for me and massages are so expensive, at the very least you should get what you expect in pressure and environment.
First of all, my massage therapist was very clearly sick, and I'm pretty upset about that. She had an obvious cough and tried to say it was her asthma but it was very clearly an upper respiratory illness. Like, when she would try to hide her cough there was production behind it and she sounded congested when she spoke. Really worrisome.
Second, there was no music. Through my 90min it would come on for 2 min and then go off for the next 30. Not relaxing at all, and distracting. Terrible environment. I'm just laying there listening to the sound of my therapist's breath and the noise from outside the room.
Third, I requested a deep tissue massage, both when I scheduled, and when I spoke to the receptionist to confirm. I made it clear that was what I wanted and needed a therapist that could provide that. I then specific that with her when I walked in and explained that I have very specific issues I needed help with that impede my own work. Even tho I asked for an increase in pressure multiple times, this was the most ineffective massage I've ever received. Barely any pressure, barely even at a Swedish massage level, and she just continuously rubbed up and down without any focus.
The only thing that was good was the short time she focused on my heel for me which was bothering me, but it feels no better today than it did yesterday.
I'm a nice person and didn't complain when I left, and did everything nice people do because who wants to have a confrontation or ask to speak to a manager in a massage therapy business? I also just desperately wanted to go take a shower so I didn't get sick if my suspicions were correct.
It's too much money for all of these things to be wrong, and if I get sick I am going to be extremely upset to spend that much and then be out of work. If I don't work, I don't get paid. You should not allow your therapists to put their hands on people when they have a cough.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Melissa N.Rehoboth Beach, DE020Jan 13, 2025
Best massage I've ever had. Melissa was fantastic! I walked out with no muscle pain. Never had that happen before
