2 hour Craniosacral Massage

Studies show that the cranial bones never completely fuse together, thus making them slightly moveable joints. With light touch on the client’s skull the therapist will detect rhythmic movements of cranial bones, and restrictions in the cranial sacral system (membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spine). Then using the same gentle touch the therapist will manipulate the head to release these restrictions and reset the body’s internal computer. Cranial Sacral Therapy has been used to effectively treat chronic neck and shoulder pain, migraines, motor coordination impairments, colic, autism, central nervous system disorders, orthopedic problems, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, scoliosis, infantile disorders, learning disabilities, chronic fatigue, emotional disorders, stress and tension, fibromyalgia and other connective tissue disorders, TMJ, neuromuscular and immune disorders, PTSD, and post surgical rehabilitation. Thai massage except performed in a side lying position for pregnant women who are out of the first trimester. During a Thai Massage session the therapist utilizes their palms, elbows, and feet to press the muscles, stimulate sen (energy pathways) points, and gently place the client in yoga like poses. Although Thai Massage requires very active movements from the therapist, it is very soothing and relaxing for the client, as the client simply allows the therapist to do the work without "helping". Thai Massage has been used to help with many ailments, and feels amazing. As the Owner I can honestly say this is my favorite type of massage since I began doing Massage 8 years ago. The theory behind reflexology is that there are "reflex" areas on the feet and hands that correspond to specific organs, glands, and other parts of the body. The therapist will focus on pressing, gliding, and kneading these areas to relieve tension and stimulate energy throughout the body. This popular form of alternative medicine is generally used for relieving symptoms associated with: Stress and stress-related conditions, Tension headaches, Digestive disorders, Arthritis, Insomnia, Hormonal imbalances, Sports injuries, Menstrual disorders, such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS), Digestive problems, such as constipation, IBS, and Back pain.

2 hour Sports Massage

Sports Massage was designed originally to help athletes prepare their bodies for peak performance, recovery after an event, and help ease training. However because sports massage techniques stimulate the movement of lymphatic fluid and break down adhesions it is good for anyone, such as those recovering from injury, and chronic pain sufferers. I recommend sports massage for anyone with limited range of motion, because there is a lot of stretching included in a sports massage. There are 3 main types of Sports Massage; post event: received 1 or 2 hours after an event to help body harmonize, restorative: performed during training to increase performance with less injury, and rehabilitation: for alleviating pain and restoring homeostasis.

2 hour Swedish Massage

A light to medium pressure full body massage. 2 hour Trigger Point Therapy/ Neuromusclular Therapy

$120.00

Trigger Points are very painful spots in bands of tight muscle that may refer pain somewhere else in the body. The therapist will treat these knots by applying pressure to them with elbows, thumbs, or finger tips. The therapist will then hold the pressure until the trigger point releases. I love trigger point therapy because the therapist has the ability to accomplish with one session results that would typically take 7 to 10 regular massages. Receiving a trigger point session can be very painful and uncomfortable, however the quick results can be quite amazing. I use this modality frequently for migraine sufferers, fibromyalgia, and chronic back and neck pain and limited range of motion.

30 minute Mommy and Me Massage

$50.00

Mommy and Me Massage-
Looking for something to do with your new baby? Why not get a massage together?
My second child Evangeline was born 6/5/14 afterwards it seemed like I cleaned house all day and was breastfeeding or cuddling her all night long. With the lack of sleep and still having to take care of my 3 year old son (and still running this company), I really needed a massage. I figured I would just have a staff member come to my house and give me a massage since I could always give my son his leap pad for an hour and my daughter mostly slept all day anyway. Well not the day I decided to get a massage that day all she wanted to do was fuss! So I had the therapist hand me my daughter and I got in a side lying position (like when you get a prenatal massage) and nursed her while I got my massage. Once she was finished filling her belly I lay on my back and she slept on my chest. With these positions I was still able to receive an effective full body therapeutic massage. And I even took a little nap on the table. This turned out to be a beautiful bonding experience for me and my daughter and I got my much needed relief from back pain (from the epidural), leg cramps (from retaining fluid), and just general leftover aches from the pregnancy itself.
I thought other mommies would love this!!! The cost of a massage while on maternity leave doesn’t seem that bad if you don’t have to pay for child care too…….
We can customize these sessions however you prefer, as long as your child can be comforted by nursing or your touch (as we cannot disturb other guests at the spa with loud crying). These sessions are offered at our location or in your home (within a 15 mile radius of spa). Some different options I have come up with are:
1- We can spend part of your time massaging you, and part of the time teaching you how to massage your infant. (Can be beneficial for colic, constipation, sleeplessness, or just help soothing the baby after their rough journey through the birth canal)
2- You can receive your session as I described my experience above
3- Or the therapist can massage you part of the time and massage your infant for the other portion
Or if you have a specific request we can probably accommodate. These sessions are only offered with our female staff for your comfort.

60 minute Trigger Point Therapy/ Neuromusclular Therapy

$80.00

90 minute Craniosacral Massage

$100.00

Based on William Garner Sutherland s theory of cranial bone movement (1899), Dr. John Upledger developed Cranial Sacral Therapy in 1983. It has also been proven to release endorphins causing client to fall into a state of deep relaxation.

90 minute Mommy and me Massage

$100.00

90 minute Reflexology

$100.00

Reflexology is massage done only on the head, ears, hands, and feet.

90 minute Sports Massage

$100.00

Ionic Foot Detox

$55.00

The Ionic Foot Detox-
A 45 minute session that gently encourages the body to detox on a cellular level. Your feet are immersed in warm water that helps to soothe tired achy feet.If you are unfamiliar with detox foot baths- they are an interesting and pain free way to detoxify your entire system. They work on the premise that both negative and positive ionic charges help to rid the body of toxic waste.

Ionic Detox foot baths work by sending a small current that goes in a circuit through the body and generates positively charged ions. The high concentration of the ion field attaches to the negatively charged toxins neutralizing them and the body is then able to discard them through the approximate 2000 pores that are on the bottom of your feet. You can then experience the correct acid-alkaline ph balance as nature intended. It's painless and takes about 30 minutes. Even children ages 4 and up can safely use it under supervision.

People who should not use this foot bath are people with pace makers or who have organ transplants or expectant or nursing mothers.

Detox foot baths are extremely beneficial for the following 7 reasons:

1) Enhancing the immune system

2) Assist in recovery time from injuries and surgery

3) Can relieve pain and joint stiffness due to arthritis

4) Improves sleep pattern

5) Remove heavy metals

6) Removes blood clot material

7) Improve liver and kidney function

Probably the most fascinating aspect of this detox is that during the use of an ionic foot bath the color of the water changes. Literally, you witness the various toxins exiting your body. The various colors can tell you what area the body may be detoxing.

Black or brown water is the liver.

Orange; the joints.

Dark green; the gallbladder

Yellowy green; kidneys, urinary tract,

White foam; Lymph nodes draining

Blue tint; yeast

Red flecks; blood clot material

Black flecks; heavy metals

The color of the water may be different for each individual due to water you use such as city water, well water, mineral water and the state of your health. When you put the metal array into water by itself you may see color changes in the water such as a brownish color. But it is the oily residue floating on the top that determines if you are getting rid of unwanted toxins in the body. The more you use the machine the less you will have yucky build up in the water.
I highly recommend at least trying a detox foot bath once.
