A Moment Away Massage Therapy And Spa

I came to A Moment Away for a half leg sugaring. This was my first visit to A Moment Away and my first leg sugaring, although I have had sugaring bikinis/brazilians previously.

At the start of the sugaring, the technician applied one strip and said sugaring may not be good for my legs. Long story short, I had applied lotion to my legs the night before and didn't wash it off, which prohibited the hair removal, so she cleaned my legs and proceeded with the procedure and said, that's better. No big deal.

At the end, I needed to rush out to work, so I looked at my legs, they looked fine, and I left. However, upon closer inspection later that day I noticed an entire strip was missed on the back of my left leg. Besides that, about 70% of my legs do not feel smooth. They feel like stubble, almost like the hair was just broken off close to the skin, rather than removed completely. And you can actually still see the hairs poking up. I was getting this sugaring done because I am leaving on vacation soon and now I feel I just wasted money and I still have to shave.

If sugaring truly wasn't good for my legs, or not working, the technician never mentioned anything to me. I would have been open to alternates, or even the fact that it was just a no-go.

However, the facility is very nice and the staff very friendly and personable. Might be worth coming back for something different like a facial or massage, but I wouldn't recommend the sugaring services.

Update 3/21/2024 - adding a star - after writing this review I received a prompt call from A Moment Away to ensure I have a good experience and am a happy customer. We will try the leg wax again after my vacation and I will update again, but am impressed with the prompt contact and commitment to customer service.

My masseuse was fantastic. She listened to my needs, and spent time where it was needed. The place was very clean, quiet relaxing I will definitely be returning.

It was a very relaxing experience. I feel Gabi did an excellent job. My facial left me feeling glowy and smooth. I just wish there was more feedback on my particular skin

I love it here. I've come many times now when I want to treat myself, and have purchased some gift cards for friends. Yes it is more pricey than a massage envy type place, but you get what you pay for. The massage therapists here are very talented. I have chronic back issues, and Jason really knows his stuff! I'm almost hesitant to write this because I don't want everyone to steal his appointments, but he's awesome! Haha. Casey and Nikki were also amazing, both so sweet and kind to me during my pregnancy-treatments-treat to myself :)

I am so grateful for the amazing employees and technicians who provide incredible services. I also want to add I enjoy the ambiance and cleanliness of this wonderful establishment. Great friendly knowledgeable staff working at the reception counter. It's always a pleasure coming here.

Emily, Brielle and Ally were all great yesterday at my Spa Day appt. Brielle is definitely meant for the massage business she is very calming and has hands of an angel. I was looking to feel relaxed and release some tension in my back/shoulders and Brielle did just that! I appreciated her checkin in with me throughout making sure I was comfortable. Ally did my facial, mani and pedi and she was great! She was super friendly, knowledgeable, always making sure I was happy throughout my services. She was the perfect balance of a relaxing experience and conversation through the 3 hours I was with her! And Emily greeted me and checked me in/out with a smile and she was very friendly! Great staff you have!

I've been getting regular massages at A Moment Away for years. I love the soothing atmosphere there, and my massage therapist is wonderful. I leave feeling healthier and relaxed. I have an autoimmune disease and massage does wonders for my health, both physically and mentally.

Kaylea did my 13 year old daughters eyebrows for the first time and she was great. She explained everything she was using and doing, and was just very kind. Will definitely be going back to her, and recommending her.

Good experience great massage! Room was peaceful and music was relaxing. I didn't wait long before going into my designated massage room. I asked for a relaxing massage and that is what I got. Hope to return soon.
